I PMed him earlier, but haven't heard back (I also want it).

Oh well, looks like I am third on the list anyways.
I have a spare set that only needs the encrypted cpu to get it going. If anyone has a busted up or partial boardset with the big black cpu I would be interested in it.

Hey Rip my search-fu is lacking today for some reason, but I think someone deciphered that big black cpu with the help of an xray machine lol.

You're probably thinking of the Pac-Man Plus epoxy glob. But the BurgerTime encryption was figured out long ago. It's fairly simple. But I don't know if anyone has bothered to build and unencrypted ROM set for the original board. I haven't seen a board with a bad CPU pack yet.

I've got one. I had a board and everything was pointing to a bad cpu. I bite the bullet and pulled the one off another working board and swapped it and the board worked. So now im looking for a replacement for an otherwise working board.

Cool.... Have you torn the pack apart to see what's inside? Just curious. I assume it's an epoxied nightmare....
Creating an unencrypted ROM set isn't hard, just very tedious. And then you'd have to make an adaptor to put a regular 6502 in there. Much easier to just to find a parts BT board and steal the CPU pack from it.

I started to but it would have been a ton of work. I think I threw it out last time I cleaned the shop. It might still be here but I seem to recall chucking it.
