FS: Bunch of Colecovision & Intellivision Stuff - Boxed Games, Controllers & More

UPDATED:

I found some more stuff last night while taking pics. Bunch more Intellivison games, a couple Commodore 64 games and more. Here is the official new list of items...

20 Boxed Intellivison Games - Donkey Kong, Beauty & The Beast, Checkers, Nasl Soccer, Frog Bog, Boxing, 2x Star Strike, Skiing, MLB, Armor Battle, Space Armada, Space Battle, B-17 Bomber, Poker & Blackjack, Tennis, Bowling, 2x Auto Racing, Backgammon

4 Loose Intellivison Games - Tennis, Skiiing, Boxing, Poker & Blackjack

2 Loose Commodore 64 Games - Kick Man, Sea Wolf

Intellivison Voice Module

Intellivison Standard Controller

Colecovision Steering Wheel Controller & Pedal (FOUND: Missing battery cover)

2x Super Action Colecovision Controllers

Atari Archer Arcade Stick

With more than double the original games now and the missing battery cover found, I was thinking $50 plus shipping for everything, so probably about $60 shipped in the US. Paypal is fine. I will post when this is sold. Thanks.

Hey John, do these worK:

2x Super Action Colecovision Controllers?

And what do they look like? I need some controllers for my system, as the originals are flakey as hell.

They look great. They worked last time they were used and have been in a box ever since then. I don't have any additional way to test them now though. I will get you a pic tonight.

This what they look like if you were wondering about the design...

As you can see in the pictures you practically need four hands to operate the super action controller. :)

Ain't that the truth! It was kinda cool to have 4 different triggers, however. I remember waiting forever for these controllers and the Football game to come out. I must have called Service Merchandise in Memphis at least once a day for weeks to see if they had 'come in' yet. The clerk at the toys dept became very tiresome of me, fer sure. When i finally got the controllers and the Football & Baseball games, I remember they were awesome games, but it seemed like the controller did not work so well after a few weeks. Some of the trigger buttons became flaky and the joystick all of the sudden did not work so well. It became a bit of a disappointment after a short while. However, about that time I got a C64 and began playing on it most of the time. The Football game on the C64 was even better. Of course, nothing can compete with the old school style of Atari 2600 Football!!! :001_sbiggrin:

I think I still have a pair of non-woking super action controllers in my big box of Colecovision stuff that I have in the basement somewheres. Oddly enough, we played a ton of Colecovision in college, BITD. We would constantly have contests in Ladybug, Space Panic, Frontline, Burgertime, 'zumas Revenge, Miner 2049er, among others. One of my ultimate Arcade collecting goals was to acquire a full size cab for all of those games we played in college. I have pretty much completed that, minus the Space Panic (interestingly enuff, it seems the Coleco version of SP was better than the Arcade version). There were about 3-4 of us that pooled a decent collection of Coleco carts together, and well, I am the keeper of that collection to this day.

My Ex-brother inlaw worked at Coleco and built the equipment that tested all of the buttons on the SAC. I know, the immediate response is "well what the hell went wrong" As memory serves, I don't think he was very happy with the end results. The robotic machine worked fine beating up the all of the buttons. The Super Action Controller, no so good. Mine died about a year after purchase. I could never understand why. I could probably figure out today though.
Aside from how it would chew into the skin between my thumb and finger, when it worked, it was awesome.
Don't know what my ex is up to now, but he is the one who went on to build the RoboGolf machine I posted on youtube.

That's pretty cool you knew somebody that worked at Coleco. From my understanding some/most of the Coleco history stuff (developers) is kinda unknown. I would love to have a big history book of the Coleco since the CV is my favorite system of all time...

Back to the Super Action Controllers, I have to admit... I loathed these things. They do work good on the sport's games like Baseball and Football. But when a game requires quick button mashing - it's just killed my fingers. Maybe due to the orientation of the buttons. Games like Front Line and Rocky always gave me hand cramps after playing because of these 'things'.

I never really had a issue w/ the buttons on the two sets I owned. The spinner dial, on the other hand, crapped out on both sets.

Yup, lots of hand cramps, but superior to the standard coleco joysticks which were terrible compared to a wico of the day.

It's surprising that even though there were controls using real arcade components, no one came up with simply marketing a typical panel. Something like an xarcade or the pdp mortal kombat controller.

Coleco came close with the Turbo wheel add on and the slither trackball.
