Well, the time has come. I have decided to put Black Knight up for sale. It has served me pretty well for the last 9 years.

If you are looking for a professionally restored machine with no issues, please look elsewhere. If you are looking for a
better than average example of a pupular classic machine that is 31 years old....well then you may want to keep reading.

Let's get the details out of the way first :)

Game - Black Knight (Williams, 1980)
LOCATION - Quakertown, PA (18951)
Shipping - NO - Pickup only
Price - $1750

Whoa, did I lose you there? Yeah, it may sound high, but that's what I need out of this machine. If that does not work for
you then I am sorry in advance. No need to flame me for the asking price please, just go to the next post :) Or, check out
the photos if you want something to do. Thank you.

Machine is in above average condition (in my opinion). Here's a
breakdown:

Playfield - Original, good condition, very minimal wear (many many pictures below)
Cabinet - Original with normal scrapes and dings - was drilled for lockdown bar (again, see pics)
Backglass - Good but not perfect. Some missing paint, but sealed to prevent worsening (pics, did I mention that?)
Pop Bumber cap is a reproduction replacement
Drop target decals - they came on the game but I don't think they are original. They are glossy, and I don't recall the originals being glossy, but I could be mistaken.
Plastics - Good condition, all original with the exception if the return lane plastics - these were Alan Meyer repros. Ball lock plastic is NOT broken.
Apron is in very good condition.

Mechanical - This is the slight downside to the machine.
40 pin connector (both sides) have been replaced.
Power supply caps replaced per Clay's guide
Prior to 40 pin connector replacement, boards were repaired by Chris Munson

The bad:
Game boots into audit mode. Cycling through this gets to normal game over mode. I am told this is may be a ROm issue, but it is something I have not gotten into yet.
Machine will, at times, lock up during gameplay. This was the reason for the 40 pin connector replacement and the PS parts replacement, but it still happens.
Left slingshot does not work. Wire is disconnected. When connected, this locks on. May be a TIP but I have not gotten to it yet to check.

A video of the lockup issue can be found here:

Out of sight! PM sent for the TOTAN!

(Hopefully, Chris doesnt notice that I'm asking for a pin, not mentioned in the title thread! SHHHHH!!!!)

TOTAN is mine, it is visiting Chris' house as I don't have space for it right now. Unfortunately, it's not for sale. Sorry.

I took it to the Allentown pinball show just for one day only, just for people to see and play, and had about 20 offers on it throughout the day. Unreal, I knew it was a desirable game, but had NO IDEA how many people wanted it.

Good luck on the sale from a fellow BK owner. BK is the last pin I would sell, I love it. BTW, your audit issue could possibly be dead batteries. Make sure they're new and try it again, just saying that it worked for me.

Thanks. That was the first thing I tried, and no change, do I think it is a bad RAM chip. Something that I may look into this week.

Have someone coming to look at it today. All PM's have been replied to.

Thanks,
Chris

I dont think your price is that far out of line. Its a little high but like your finding out BK is in pretty good demand. I have been keeping an eye out for one for my brother but he is a tightwad and wont spend that much money on one. Awesome game, good luck on your sale.

So since my Black Knight works with no issues, it must be worth at least $2,000 then...J/K Glad I picked it up for $250. Good luck on the sale. This pinball has a great multiball that is actually obtainable, unlike my Vector pinball
