For sale is a (dare I say) HUO Mr and Mrs Pacman pinball.

I was told this was purchased back in 1982 and put in a home and never operated. The cabinet is in nice enough condition to make a believer out of me but the playfield has some significant wear. The machine has obviously never been worked on by an operator or probably any one else for that matter. I saw very little evidence of any work anywhere. I did a fair amount myself on it to get it working.

The good :
The cabinet colors are vibrant and over all it looks great. The MPU in it has very little acid damage. It has new rubbers and EOS switches and I recapped most of the squak and talk ( sound) board with caps I had here at the house( so most are radials instead of axials but it works). All of the header pins on the displays and boards have been resoldered. The underside of the playfield looks really nice and does not have a bunch of hack work done to it. The voltages ALL measured perfectly, even the voltages to the displays. I lowered it down to 170v for longer display life. Three of the displays have rebuild kits on them. It also comes with the owners manual.

The MPU is not original, the original one had too much acid damage. It does have an original Bally MPU with the correct part number with minimal acid damage that I jumpered to work. It booted up for me at least 50 times while i was working on it.

The bad :
The playfield wear is the worst part. One of the displays is not working ( broken nipple on back of glass), i moved it to the player 4 position. At some point, someone set a can of white latex paint on the top of the game and it spilled and a little came down on the front edge above the back glass. I removed it but also took off a little blue paint in the process. It is not that bad and could be touched up pretty easily. The black glass that surrounds the displays has some damage from the heat. The glass is not flaking on the back side but looks like the black has pulled away from the glass in a few spots.

Over all it's a really nice machine and just needs a little TLC and maybe a better playfield or some playfield restoration to be a great machine.

Price is $550 firm ( at least for now ) . Locals get preference but I would ship it if it comes to that. I also have a friend headed to Portland with an empty truck at the end of the month and could get it there for $75 as long as it's not too far out of the way.

Thanks for looking,
Dave

Either that or light it on fire and throw it off of my roof. Wanna help me haul it up there ?

Seriously, i am almost secretly hoping no one buys it so I can keep it ;)
