Okay, I'll bite. What is so shocking about getting a bill for a hard to find part that is almost always broken?

That I got my Toobin' complete and working for less than the motor sells for - shocking that a part can be worth that much. Guess I did well when I got my Toobin'. :D

Prime example of why machines are killed rather than sold whole. I recall someone having a hard time unloading a complete working Toobin', though, so can empathize on parting out a working game when it can't be sold as whole due to lack of buyer interest.

Wasn't that our good friend Jow?

Well... I would never part mine, but I have been planning to sell it for quite some time. Knowing how little love it gets... combining that with how pricey it's guts seem to be makes me think I should hang on to it lest it fall into the hands of someone a bit greedier than myself.

oh dear! I guess you will NOT want to see the new video I did in hi-Def---where we do toss a complete Toobin off the roof??? (also tossed an Omega Race, Afterburner, Tempest, and a few other videos and 5 complete pinball machines)....the new footage will appear before the end of this month!! Todd

Since the part has been sold already I think it's ok to post this link:

Toobin waterfall motor repair

That thread is a few years old so the part number may not be exact at this point, but it's a start. If someone here orders a replacement they should bump that thread with the correct part number. [EDIT -- This may be the correct part here.]

:D

I can't wait, should be pretty awesome, you should do one with a chain saw!

Knock yourself out Todd. You own them, you can do whatever you'd like with them. I'd like to see that. Too bad they don't make a Blendtec blender big enough for a Quantum. Then we could answer the question "Will it blend?".
