It is rare to see an original first model this nice. Usually the paint is wearing off and they look awful. If I did not have a model 2, I would be making an offer. Bump for an under rated system. Good selection of games too.

a Little history on the Lynx:

From the Lynx Wiki:

The Atari Lynx is a 16-bit handheld game console that was released by Atari Corporation in 1989. The Lynx holds the distinction of being the world's first handheld electronic game with a color LCD. The system is also notable for its forward-looking features, advanced graphics, and ambidextrous layout. The Lynx was released in 1989, the same year as Nintendo's best-selling, monochromatic Game Boy. However, the Lynx failed to achieve the sales numbers required to attract quality third party developers, and was eventually abandoned.

Today, as with many older consoles, there is still a small group of devoted fans, creating and selling games for the system.

The Lynx system was originally developed by Epyx as the Handy Game. Planning and design of the console began in 1986 and completed in 1987.[1] Epyx first showed the Handy system at the Winter Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 1989. Facing financial difficulties, Epyx sought out partners. Atari Corp. and Epyx eventually agreed that Atari Corp. would handle production and marketing, while Epyx would handle software development.

...the other half is adding this awesome system to your collection today.

I had picked one up when they first came out. VERY ahead of it's time. Great graphics and sound. I think I had every cart that came out for a while then the games dried up. There was a airplain/dogfighting game that was really cool. I still have a Vectrex though. Cant wait for "Warrior" to come out.

man there was a retail store called venture and i remember them having these and i remember wanting one so bad just never could get one... then they went out of business.... i wish i had some money for this... it would be awsome..

I bought a Lynx when it first came out, and I still have it to this day. I loved that game system.
When they were discontinued I went around and snapped up a bunch of them from people that were unloading them.
Then all my friends would come over and we'd hook up 6 of them at once with ComLynx cables and play Slime World and Warbirds (the dogfighting game). It was the first experience we had at multiplayer computer gaming (we didn't have enough for 6 pcs at one house!)

I still have all of them with the boxes and the carry cases and accessories in a storage bin... just in case they come back! :p

Sunday Bump, I don't feel like $150 is too high, but am willing to listen to offers.

However this is just for the lynx and games with case, if I accept a lower offer the boxed copy of mario 3 for NES isn't going to be included in the deal.

Bump it up!
