As an owner of a legal AS board, I don't appreciate that these rip off boards are being sold. Updates for the board are already few and far between. These knock off boards will eventually guarantee that we never see another update!

When was the last update? Just wondering because it's been almost 12 months? Steve could solve this problem by knocking the price of his to $275 each.

The last official update was 1-28-09. That said...that update was a HORIZONTAL update mostly and only included what are being called OPTIMIZATIONS. The last update that included a game was before then by about 2 weeks or so... and that game was...

...wait for it...

Pac N' Pal!

The highly desired Pac game...

...and the high score save is broke on it to boot!

I knew you'd be here in a few!!! haa haa.

why should steve lower his price? His price actually includes the costs of development of the board and the writing of the software running on that board that people are essentially stealing when you buy a bootleg from an unauthorized source. Don't cry foul when steve doesn't put any more money into getting more games working when people buy these boards and deprive him of the money he needs to pay for those additions to happen.

Wait a second... you're not suggesting the LEGITIMATE customers running bought and paid for legit AS boards have no right to call foul when 10+ months go by without an update? I say bullshit. I didn't buy a bootleg... why am I being punished? That's right in your eyes Pr0k? I doubt it.

i bought probably 6 at 375.00 ea
plus shipping
the updates were not coming before the bootlegs showed up maybe 2 in a year,i guess we can blame the bootlegs for the lack of updates

Call me crazy, but i've never seen anything anywhere that steven stated there's a set schedule and/or frequency of updates.. Nor are there any guarantees anywhere about exactly what will be updated and what won't. The board started with barely a dozen games supported, now there's 50 or so. Bugs were reported and for the most part fixed. Now maybe the updates are not coming fast enough for your liking, but i'm missing where they are to be set to your schedule and not his.

Not wanting to argue with ya frizz.. just sayin.. Like it or not that board easily has the best menu and superior emulation of the games and it supports a good number of popular classics. Updates will come, when they are ready.

He can sell the PCB's for as much as he wants. However, at close to $400 and the memory is too small to hold all the supported games. By lowering the price he forces the bootlegs out.

I don't own a Programable PCB yet... Will own one sooner or later.

So not getting free updates fast enough is justification for theft? Got it.

we could get in a debate about the multi boards being legal but whats the point
AS boards are the same as the 60's,48's ect
was DK 2 bought from Nintendo?or the Foundry ect ,i think there is 2 roms that you can load on it that are free
Crash and another i forget

i don't sell enough of these to keep them in stock
i just wanted to pass the savings on to people that want them for a lot less, that can't empty the bank for a 40 game multi pcb:)

When he tethers my ability to install Donkey Kong II to his update schedule, he then makes it my my concern when he provides updates. I've not been able to re-organize or change the games on one of my boards because of this bullshit requirement because if I do so, I can't install Donkey Kong II, which I paid for.
