Fs 2 working sets of tron boards

We need to have the Mods put up a sticky on the bad-trader list with all known bad-deal users that were out here in the past/ recent past. Good thing to check out some of the old threads since there are a bunch of new users here on Klov. Anyone care to dig up old threads?

I know babsBunny and DetroitPimp were a couple...
 
Agreed.. I'm going to wait a few days before I seek to start a dispute and see if anything turns up. He might just have an off schedule or something where he hasn't replied. We could be over reacting.

I have a REAL good feeling that is the same guy who has come on here and scammed several people before. Can't say how I know it's him, but if it's not, I would be really surprised. He has gone under the following names here:
shoutathedvl
Mrobinson
and the latest is pinhendricks

Going by this scumbags habits in the past, it seems that every year around the holidays, he scams several people on this forum. I learned my lesson with him awhile back- word of warning to everyone on here-
DON"T BUY SOMETHING FROM A NEW MEMBER...we should make a policy that they need at least 100 posts before you can list a FS post.
 
It's been less than 24 hours since the original FS post and everyone is declaring this guy a deadbeat. Really ? !!! To those that instigated the witch hunt, why ? If it turns out bad, the damage was done. If not, that's great. Let the guys that sent the money make that call and make that post.

I'm trying to prevent fellow KLOV'ers from potentially getting ripped off, does that make me a bad guy? This FS post has several red flags on it, and I have other clues that add up to my belief. Perhaps I should've sat back and watched people possibly get ripped off, and then say "yeah I thought that guy was a scammer, but didn't metion it."
 
Man yall just jump all over something, I posted one set sold with ribbon cables, the other set sold without cables. Guy paid at 3:30 am so i didnt post that set had sold yet. I go to work in the morning like a normal person, its called ajob. I read alot of messages for people wanting to buy them if they were still for sale. I havent told anyone that p.m. me that a set was still for sale after i got the payment for the set without cables but didnt have time to respond before leavin the house this morning.
I got up this morning and checked my email and messages before having to leave for work, I just home and now ive had time to respond.
I might be a new guy if someone wants me to call them ill be gald to and my phone is in my name and itll show up on the caller id and if that doesnt work than ill email the 2 buyers a copy of dl with my address on it.
 
And I the guy i supposed to send pictures to. I told you I would send them tomorrow which would be today, the set with ribbon cables sold within a hour of you asking for pictures so I didnt send you a picture. If that set had hadnt sold I would just now be sending you a picture cause I just got home from work. Damn I wish i had the spare time that everyone else seems to have.

What good are your "clues" if you dont share them ? Until you put it out there, it's just a witch hunt. If you feel that strongly then show your hand.
 
well I got a refund out of the blue today. No reason, no comment.
He hasn't logged in here for 2 days.

I have to say I am pretty pissed he isn't following through on the deal we made.

Feel lucky you got your money back. I told him I wanted the set you bought, 3 minutes after he posted it. He agreed then I asked for pictures and he sold it to you. Feel lucky you got your money back it had scam written all over it!!:eek:
 
First welcome to KLOV. Second, I'll take the high road and tell you that Tron Boards sell for $200 - $250 on KLOV and ebay all the time.

Now you know why everyone wondered why you were selling them for $60 and $75.

Ribbon cables can be bought from the real bob roberts for under $20.

So basically you had a deal that was too good to be true.

In fact depending on the buyers you might just see your boards listed here or on ebay for $200-$250. :D

Or maybe that is why you're refunding money, because someone PM'd you and filled you in on you're low pricing.

They actually almost never sell for that price. ($200 shipped on rare occasions) People try to gauge each other on here for those prices, but I don't think they are selling. And the ones on ebay listed at $250 simply don't sell. I sold a 100% working set recently for $150.

Whether that is true or not, I guess I should feel lucky I got my money back?

Yea wether they sell or not is definitely debatable.
But that is the normal posting price.

Definitely not $60 - $75
 
I dunno whether this is legit or not, but one red flag is someone saying they got the box in an auction (which means they are aware of arcade auctions), were smart enough to piece multiple good sets together (meaning they know how mcr boards work) then come here out of the blue and offer them at half market price (seemingly knowing better)? Doesn't feel right.

I'm starting to think that rcatron, pinhendricks and tonto1 might all be the same person.
