Too much diet pepsi along the way!
(here I am 3 hours after getting home and still wide awake, too much soda on the road to keep going I guess!)
I'm back, yes, my wife goaded me into going and getting the Daytona machines.
She is starting a new job as of tomorrow, so she was home all week to wrangle the kids etc, so she told me to stop talking about how nice of deal they were and "Just go get the darn things"
I left Tuesday morning at 8am from the Seattle area and just pulled back home at 8pm on Wednesday... 1,270 miles, almost exactly 36 hours (13 there, 2 to load, 8 sleep, 13 back home) 2 border crossings, 5 tanks of gas - since I am self-employed my time was "free" this still FAR exceeds everything else I've ever done to acquire a game
I guess I could run the math out on the total cost, but I am too tired to do so right now! It was fun in a twisted arcade game collector sort of way <grin>
All that being said, I have a working set of linked Daytona's in the trailer in front of my house... now I just need to figure out where to put them.
Bernse is stand-up gentleman and did way above and beyond what was needed to meet my crazy schedule and get then out of his shop, he even escorted my sleep-deprived "road-lagged" self to a nearby hotel to make sure that I got a decent nights sleep before the mad drive home today.
I am going to bed now, I am wiped out.
