up for sale is my 1982 space duel, im in a hurry so im writing this kinda quickly, most of the art work on the sides of the cabinet are in good shape except for around the edges where there has been some water damage, the bottom edges also have water damage which will need to be fixed,

the game it self does need to be fixed, the AR-II board might need a cap job, the monitor works, it has been recapped, reflowed, and i installed a LV2000 in a LV section, however the monitor works but does still have some problems that i have not been able to fix, but they are not bad enough to effect the game while playing,

the control panel needs a new overlay i was going to order one and put it on but i ran out of funds at the time and just havent ordered again, the buttons may also need to be replaced not real sure however,

everything as a whole was taken out of the cab by myself as i was planning to try and restore it but again i ran out of funds, i would really like to see this kept as a space duel so im hopping there is someone out there who is looking for one and wants to restore it

all the parts are there however whoever had it before me tried to restore it and lost alot of the screws to just about everything, also would probably be a good idea to rebuild the power supply too, its not giving me problems but you may want too to make it look new again, it will also need a back door as it didnt come with one.

im asking $215 for it and local pickup only, if you have any questions or want pictures of certain items please let me know and i will answer them/get them as soon as i can, for now here are some pictures of how it looked when i got it before i took it apart,

thanks for all the comments everyone, one thing i forgot to put into the first post is that the connector that goes between the neck board and the HV cage i had to cut the connectors off and splice the wires together using wire connectors but it works :)

Damn, I was looking for a 1983 Space Duel. The one with the aluminum block, and the high compression hub caps. I heard the 1982's had problems with the clutch. I guess I'll just have to keep looking.

Space Duel = Sleeper hit!

It's not obscure enough to attract niche collectors.

It's a great game.

I agree.

I just watched a video of Space Duel and forgot the two linked ships had a "FUSE" in between them. If one ship gets destroyed, the fuse burns and destroys you. Kind of a serious design flaw if you ask me. :)

Actually that happens after you get hit a second time, the first time the other ship gets hit it's dragged along with you like a dead guy handcuffed to your arm!
