Nov 28, 2023: A few days ago we ran a routine, minor upgrade on our SQL database. Much to surprise, we learned today that it prevented a number of our users from logging into our forums, or using other parts of our site. It turned out that the SQL database update took it upon itself to move it's configuration file offline. Without it, the site didn't work correctly, though it wasn't obvious since it continued to be used. The configuration file has been restored and hopefully all is better now.

I'm a sucker for military games (NAVY brat) and this is probably my favorite. Simple but challenging game play with great sound effects. It brings my me right back to Golfland in 1982.

Cabinet and Hardware:

New cabinet - primed and painted
Stripped and powder coated CP, bolts, brackets, speaker meshes, coin bucket, coin doors
New T-molding
New Locks
New Vinyl Casters
Spinner - cleaned and polished with new repro FIRE decal (www.arcadefixit.com)
New wheels

Cosmetics:

Cabinet was color matched and painted with stencils. (www.gamestencils.com)
(this was extremely difficult and frustrating) Had a multitude of set backs, overspray, sanding, masking, air brushing, etc.

Reproduction screen printed bezel glass (my creation)

Reproduction Control panel overlay (good quality and great colors but hard to line up due of white guide marks) Added stainless washer behind joystick to cover slight white edge around hole - matches other hardware on CP

NOS glass marquee (stupid silly $ for that thing)

NOS joystick (www.arcadefixit.com)

New Buttons

Original instruction card (waiting for repro from www.thisoldgame.com)

Custom Taito coin bezel inserts

Can't decide if i want to apply TAITO coin door decals.

Electronics:

Cleanup/restored inside guts: power supply, wire harness, PCB, etc.
NOS Tovis (Vision Pro) 19" monitor
New Speakers
Restored power supply
Cleaned boards and wire harness
New Power Cord
New Marquee Light Fixture/Bulb
LED's behind instruction card
LED's behind marquee and coin bezels

Game looks amazing, awesome work as always. where do you buy the New Vinyl Casters at? just wondering

Thanks Phet, man I REALLY hate painting and stencils. Maybe it's because in CA we can't get the right kind of paint.

Very nice work there Dan. Front Line is probably my favorite game of all time!
Definitely one game that got the most of my quarters back then. Well this and Wild Western!

I managed to pick up a beautiful example sometime back. The bezel was absolutely gorgeous! There was no flaking whatsoever (which is really rare). The caveat, some prick put a nice gouge on the bottom right half of the glass. Deep enough that I'll doubt it will come out.

I do have to pick up a overlay on mine since it's cracking at the bend.

Now, get cracking on the Wild Western stuff - will ya!;)

That game brings back good memories, except that I don't ever remember playing one that looked that nice. Good job.
