Today I shipped out my dual driver Indy 500 to a fellow KLOVer. This is been a great die hard game for us. We picked it up from Gasoline Alley a few years ago and had it on route on and off ever since. A few months back we pulled it off location and have been storing it. Rather than paying for it to depreciate it storage we found it a new home where it could be played and appreciated.

People don't have respect anymore for others belongings and my games were getting beat up in that location. Nothing frustrates me more than see a kid banging, kicking or hitting a machine. Little brats, how would you like me to kick you when you don't except my penny or popsicle stick. She sure cleaned up nice and I'm happy to know that it is going to a good home.

It's sounds silly but I love my games, every last one. I take pride in them much like I do my home and my vehicles.

Here's some pics from after we cleaned them up.

Thanks again to my good friend for buying it.

Some more pics...........

Safe and sound for it's trip.

We had to ship it on two pallets because of the size. This was by far the hardest game to pallet and ship. Thank god for FedEx, they were super helpful with getting the pallets off the trailer.

I hear ya. My brother's boys come over rarely and play my games. But the little hellions just rank on the XBOX cab's wheels and pedals and brutalize the joysticks on the others.

Glad yours went to someone who will appreciate it.

...oh and hope you had a good Mother's day. ;)

That's cool, Looks pretty good for an Indy. I always liked that game and thought about buying one many times. Do you have pictures of the sides of it? What did you use to clean it, everything looks really shiny, almost wet, did you use armor all on it or something similar?

Thanks,
Wade

I really do feel for you but glad you found it a true home.
Way back when in my younger days I worked an arcade.
Loved it, but that crap wouldn't fly when I was working. I (funny, I just remembered), banned a few kids from ever coming back, even though it was not my arcade, but I was responsible for it, and that was enough.
Whenever I had an issue at other arcades, I looked for the attendant, but if you have them in a place where there is not one, maybe I would have even acted differently.
Only when it took my money and didn't give me my game.
That's just not right.
Sooo, look out for that I guess.
Otherwise, Kids are just not respectful or scared as when I grew up.

Forgot to take after pictures of the monitor, sides and marquee so these are all before pics.

Ha Ha, no it's not Armor All. We just use really good cleaners and buff the crap out of them.
I always get compliments on my equipment on route.

What cleaners do you use, I'm serious! I have some parts that I just can't get looking very good, even when they're clean.

That looks like a really nice example of an Indy. I'm sure it will make the new owner happy! I'd hate to ship one of those suckers though, WOW, that isn't cheap!

Yeah, people aren't raising their kids right anymore. Did you tell the stinkers they can't play anymore?

I did, thank you so much that is very nice of you.

I gave them a very serious chat before hand, then they still ended up going nuts on the stuff. Had to tell them to chill out or that their garage arcade days were done. They cooled down a bit.

We cant wait until this game arrives. Man it looks like it cleaned up nice!!:).

This will be my Father-in-Laws first arcade. Cant wait to play it, but not looking forward to moving it.

Thanks for all the effort getting it cleaned up, and getting it packaged. You guys are awesome!!

We have had had games shipped from Game Girl in the past. Class Act is the word that comes to mind!! Thank You Game Girl and Evapa!!

The game will look great in his game room with his pool table. Funny I think he has the bug now, tonight he was talking about getting a shooter game.

Yea have to watch the kids and the games. I dont even turn on some of my games, when my sister-in-laws kids are over. They always ask about the Star Wars, I just tell them im working on that one. Not sure they will ever play that one.

Hope you guys like it. Yeah, I'm glad were done on our end. Moving those games into the trailer and on onto the pallets was a nightmare!

Well thank you. You have been awesome to work with too!

Ha Ha, it doesn't take long to get hooked does it.

The cleanliness of the floor mat alone shows how good you clean your games up. I hated how nasty the Daytonas got when I worked for Namco (alladin's).

There was a similiar thread about kids conduct on machines but this story reminds me of sitting at a Pizza joint one time with my wife and daughters. I watched several kids go sit down at a racing game and start yanking the stearing wheel and yanking the shit out of the shifter. And then they got bored and went to a Big Buck Hunter where they picked up the gun and mercilessly started pulling the trigger and beating the barrel against the bezel.

I said nothing - and my wife looks at me and said, "I could only imagine what you'd be doing right now if those were your games."
I'll say it again - where in the F are the parents and WHY aren't they beating their kids asses for pulling shit like this? PARENTAL FAILURE!!!! This stuff flat out pisses me off ..... so yes OP I can indeed 100% understand how and why you love your games.

I hope you like the Indy 500 as it was a great game for us. Never gave us any problems on route. It was a pleasure doing business with you again, we hope to do more in the future. If you have any questions on game just give us a call.
