As mentioned in a previous thread, I recently purchased a Frogger upright in need of some TLC. Well today I began to start working the kinks out of it and I have a few questions for those who have worked on these or similar machines...

#1: Who has the most accurate CPO reproduction? I would love to find a NOS CPO, but I fear that waiting it out will take an eternity and I have no qualms with using a repro in the interim.
#2: Same question as #1, but for the Bezel. The current bezel is pretty warped, and while I may be able to get it to lay flat, I'm not extremely hopeful after pulling it out and giving it a real look.
#3: What would you do to repair the damage seen in the included photos? As you can see, the very edges of the vinyl are damaged and on one side there is what appears to be slight swelling as well. I'm currently thinking about leaving it alone, but I'm afraid it may worsen.

I think arcade shop might be the only place that has the repro frogger stuff. As for the slight swelling and the vinyl damage I'd leave it unless you're ready to under go a full vinyl strip down sand down, bondo, paint, re vinyl.

That would be fine, assuming I could find any vinyl that matches.

Frogger: Update 02.17.2012

Order placed today for CPO, Bezel, Cap Kit, and High Score Save Kit from arcadeshop. Hopefully everything gets here by next weekend...

I looked over the "swelling" on the side of the cabinet, and I'm almost 100% certain it's not actually swollen (as the wood isn't damaged aside from being thicker) but it appears that when the cabinet was built they milled the grooves for the t-molding about 1/16" off-center as it's off the same amount on both sides on opposite sides of the wood almost as though they cut it with a pattern and threw them on the routing table with the same facing up (if that makes sense).

My goal is to have this gal nice and tidy by March...
