Hi last night I tested an old Frogger pcb I bought ages ago as working but hadn't had cab to test it.
I now have supergun that uses a PC ATX PSU and connected to a TV. I used a Konami to Jamma adaptor that I had and I know worked fine with a Hyper Olympics pcb.
Clearly the Frogger board is not working. I get random graphics appearing and flashing all over the screen and beeping sound.
Any suggestions on where to start? Guess i need to remove the chips and clean their legs?
One thing i did notice with the adapter...on the Frogger side there is a -5V psu connection but it is not connected on the Jamma side. ATX PSU does not output -5V.
Could this be simple reason for the board not working? Is the -5V required for the board to run successfully?
What is -5V used for on the board?
i hope you can help!
thanks
