Hello folks -

Picked up a Frogger on the cheap and just getting started. The game has the original linear PS and someone along the way has added a switching supply (of course by hacking into everything and using electrical tape).

I have not gotten into anything in detail yet, but the manual and schematics I have do not seem to match the supply in this game. I have attached some pics of the "system" installed and with the supply board pulled.

Interestingly, the game has two power cords - original and switcher cord. The game will turn on with either, and I can hear the speaker working and the HV to the monitor comes on, but no picture and no sounds - no credits, etc.

Any thoughts on where to begin?

Thanks -

Scott

The first thing I would do is yank both of those power supplys out and get the wiring straight. If that switcher is good you can use that or just put a standard switcher in there. If you end up needed a pcb I have a couple working ones in stock.
