Frogger or Joust...Which is a better value?

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

It is pretty fascinating to see the vast differences in availability and value collectors from different parts of the country put on games.

For me in Denver, it seems like nearly every game that comes up for sale at a reasonable price is rare.

I can find $1300 Pac-Mans and $2000 DKs all day long...but it's the games that have a decent price that are hard to come by.

From observation it looks like the Denver area has a solid retro arcade collector crowd.

When I visited friends in Houston, I discovered that the "in crowd" has vast warehouses of games and they trade at good prices amongst friends.
But if you looked at Craigslist it would be high prices.

Doesn't Dallas area have a similar issue?

I haven't been collecting anywhere near as long as my fellow Colorado KLOVers but I think they would agree that we have a strong interest in arcade games in our area.

It's like a blessing and a curse at the same time.

I've restored both games, and would say Joust should command the higher price tag for sure, though both are equally fun classics.

Is this picture a reference to "ready player one" somehow?
It reminds me of the story in the book with the liche king and joust

And joust by far is the more valuable and better game in my optionin for sure

Yes.... which side did Wade Watts play better on, against Acererak the Demi-Lich in the tomb of horrors? The left or the right?

lol don't remember read the book 5 years ago. Looking forward to the movie though.

Books are, overall, better than movies.
Read the book FIRST, and then watch the movie. That's my advice.

As for the two games listed in this thread, I would vote for Joust first ... Frogger's OK, but it ain't no Joust. LOL
