This isn't so much as a direct price check question but more of a "value check" question:

Which game is a better value to you?

FROGGER for $500 - Condition is a 8 out of 10

JOUST for $750 - Condition is 7 out of 10 and monitor is flaky sometimes

give him $1000 for both. done.

ah well to be honest, go for the joust @ $750 first. they're more uncommon and list for $1000+

the frogger is super common and are listed on a weekly basis from $200~600 range.

...and $200-600 in the Detroit area probably means $100-400 anywhere else (you guys pay too much for stuff up there). ;)

if you have kids and general family playing, then frogger wins.
if you are going to play then joust wins.

750 is tops for a joust around the midwest and should be less via private seller.

Go for the Joust

you've been looking for one for how long now? Have him knock $50 bucks off for the monitor in case it's not something simple like a loose connection or cold soldier joint. Joust will be $1000+ game after Ready Player One movie comes out.

Thanks...you have somewhat confirmed what I was already thinking. I personally LOVE Joust, but I also understand that it doesn't have has wide of the appeal as Frogger does to the general public. Then again, I should probably only be buying games I really want. But frogger is a great classic! Hence the reason I see value in both...but for different reasons.

I've been looking for a Joust for a few months now. I drug my feet on one right near my house for $750 and lost it. Then I had another person tell me they would sell me theirs for $750 but he has been too busy to let me come buy it.

So then a $500 Frogger comes along and gets me 2nd guessing the Joust.

If I'm being honest, I feel like both games are priced a little high, but then again...the arcade game market in Denver feels pretty hot right now.

I think that I have been actively looking for a Joust for about 6 months now. I'd really like to find one that is in good shape and it MUST be working. I can't afford another project. I've already got 4 other machines in queue for restores.

Oh, I forgot about that movie.
That's totally going to engage the KLOV flavor of the month club, isn't it.

I have that theory too. Thankfully I don't like joust. I'm hoping tempest prices don't get affected before I find one.

Is joust in ready player one ? I have been looking for a joust for about 4 months and they have been selling for around 700-800 and each of the 4 machines had scuffs in the side and minor monitor issues. I found another one about a 8-10 and he wanted 1100 for it. I ended up getting one for 800 that was a 8-10. I would go for the joust as it seems to be more valuable but i would put priority on what one you like better.

Not in California!!! I can't find a decent 7-10 grade Frogger for sale anywhere
