Hello, I just picked up a Frogger in really nice condition, but I've got two questions:

1) The monitor is a CRT, but I'm not sure if it was replaced at some point. Very good picture, except it doesn't quite fill the edges of the screen itself? There's a significant black border around the playfield. Is that normal? See here: https://imgur.com/a/7IMWT

2) I was playing today and noticed that the joystick can be lifted vertically quite a bit. Like, you could pull it up around .5". I opened it up and it looks like there might be a piece missing above that C clip...? Or is it supposed to be like that? Pics here: https://imgur.com/a/rYy6d

Thanks so much!

Regarding the monitor, you need to adjust the vertical size, should be an adjustment pot on the chassis somewhere. And the joystick looks like it may be missing or have broken the spring. There should be a little spring on top of the grey piece that is pushing against the leaf swiches, aka the actuator.

Your monitor is mounted vertically so to adjust "width" you will use vertical size adj. and to adjust "height" you will use the width adjustment. Really depends on the monitor to point you to where you can adjust these. Look for a remote adjustment board or take a pic of the back of the monitor.

Yes your frogger stick is a wico skinny long shaft. that grey actuator should be flush the with eclip. You may be missing a black washer and a metal washer inside the housing. There are no springs in this style of stick.

EDIT>> actually have my frogger stick out and checked it realy quick. Mine does have a bit of play in it. Not sure if they are supposed to or this is just wear. crap now I am wondering if the long skinny's are supposed to have a spacer. hmm

ok correction to above. My frogger has a short skinny wico and I also have NOS versions of same joystick and there is no play. So it must be wear related on the black washer inside and maybe the actuator as well.

FWIW the long skinny wico doesn't have a spacer, the notch in the handle is just further from ball top.

Here's pictures of the monitor neck. I tried messing with the knobs here, but they were color adjustments and what appeared to be focus adjustment. I'm not seeing any other knobs elsewhere... Is there something I'm missing?

Rotated monitor tag that doesn't really seem to match up with the actual board on the monitor: https://imgur.com/a/nlXio

take a picture of the monitor chassis. Yea neck board only usually has color drive and cutoff pots.
