this is it, guys! although it took much longer than expected (doesn't it always?), i'm proud to announce the end of this restoration (apart from some tiny missing puzzle pieces like alu stickers)!

here are the money shots!!!

originally, this cabinet was a rotten conversion from hell which the "seller" (i got it for free) wanted to throw away. but for some stupid reason i accepted the challenge and converted it back - from this ...

the coin door was not original (in fact, the only original thing still left was the wooden cabinet itself)

final thoughts:

i know that the original cab was covered in woodgrain, but there was definitely some reasoning behind my choice of white as a color:
- my other sega / gremlin cabs are white as well
- i wanted to "bring out" the tire tracks on the front
- woodgrain simply sucks (except for pong)

thx to rich for printing those tire tracks (although they are somewhat smaller than the ones on the cpo - i might fix that in the future) and to everyone else on the european dragon's lair forum for their support!

what do you american guys think of my white frogger?

Nice job , i really like the White much more than the cheesy woodgrain . Well done sir .

Very nice. I like it when customizing is done right. I think I would have done the sides black myself but it looks great in White!

what a transformation!!! the original was just fugly, really like the white, never a fan of woodgrain really, and the white really makes the art pop!

looks incredible, that had to have been tons of work. Great job!

That looks fantastic! Many, many hours of work I'm sure. The coin door replacement alone is impressive. The white looks great, and the tire track on the front is a nice touch. I'd love to have a Frogger someday when I have more space. Great job!

Very classy looking Frogger you have there! The wifey had a big "WOW!" when she saw the before and after pics.

Nice job! :beerchug:

Amazing! That looks much better than the woodgrain vinyl. Right on! Frogger board game as a topper. And the tire track down the front works great. This is the design that the manufacturers should have done. I could go for black cabinet color also.

I think it looks far better than the original cab! Way to think outside the box!

frogger was available in white originally as well and this looks SO good. No Frogger should be allowed to remain woodgrain and this is proof positive. Great work!!!
