I've been working on my Frogger and got the sound board working, well at least enough to know that IC2 gets very hot very fast. I looked up a few pictures of the board on the internet and, as I suspected, the heat sink was missing. What I didn't expect is the size of it. That thing is huge!! Anyway, anyone know where I can get one, or find a suitable replacement?

I would check out your local electronics parts store. Mine has a bins full of used heat sinks sitting on the shelves.

It doesnt have to be that big. A finned heatsink has alot of surface area in a much smaller package. The problem you will find is there is not much room to put a traditional heatsink on there.

Yeah, the space issue was a problem, as well as no mounting holes on the board at that location. That is why I was looking for an original or similar heat sink. I just modified one I had. The problem is, the amp bears all of the weight of the heat sink. Not really a problem unless it gets bumped or banged around. Not really much of an issue, but it could happen as I am currently working on this board.
