Frogger G07. Picture too low. How do I move it up?!

On the G07 in my Frogger, the picture is just too low. I tried moving it up by moving the left right center (it's a vertical monitor) jumper pin. No real change at all. Maybe moved it 0.25". I need to go up a good 1" - 1.5"

Monitor has fresh cap kit, new HOT and Voltage Regulator and I also adjusted the B+ to 120v.

What's the secret to moving the picture up a little bit on a vertical monitor? (I guess this would be moving it RIGHT if it was horizontal)

G07 doesn't have an H position pot.

You could try messing with the centering rings on the yoke (rings closest to the front of the tube). Don't move the other sets....

Try adjusting your Horizontal Frequency pot, it will move the picture in a side aspect before going out of range.

Also, make sure you're not trying to center the picture beyond electronic means due to the cardboard bezel being out of alignment. If you've had the entire monitor out of the machine, it may be an issue of the whole device needing alignment within the mounts.

Are you trying to adjust it so the whole screen is covered by the image? I think theres a black border all around..at the very least there is a border on the left and right verticle sides

Also make sure you have the sync signal hooked up to negative and not positive on the chassis. That can cause a shift in position that can not be adjusted out. The G07 sync mod can also help you out, as you'll have more range in your horiz freq adjustment.

I should mention this is the original vertical G07 that was in the Frogger. So, I don't think it's wired wrong! :) Or could it be?!?!

So, I moved the cardboard bezel down about 0.5" and it's much better, I can see the time thing more now. Still could stand to go up about 0.5" or more. But, I guess it's pretty good, really. I really wish the G07's had more adjustments!!!!

Thanks for all the help and ideas!!

Are you thinking of theese?

http://www.therealbobroberts.net/width.html

doesn't affect position though....

Yeah, I was thinking along these lines from Bob's page:

Let's say you just changed out a monitor in a game with another used monitor that you know was working fine in game XYZ, but after you fired it up in it's new home you found that adjusting your width coil from one extreme to the other just would not give you the needed range to either fill the screen, or vice versa, at it's minimum the pic was still so far over the screen that you could not see your "High Score" line :-( (For a player, we all know that is not acceptable :) The game PCB output is really at fault... well, not a fault necessarily, as it probably filled the pic perfectly on the particular model of monitor that it was shipped from the factory with, but the transplant needs something more & the monitor chassis is the most prudent thing to modify.

If its a G07 then its not the original monitor. They came with Nanao..which you can no longer get flybacks for..probably why a G07 was put in there. I wonder if they modded the isolation transformer to output 110v since the Nanao only took 100V and was plugged into the socket on the PS.
