Backstory-- I bought a rough project Frogger from a local collector a month ago-- had a rolling screen that couldn't be adjusted, game would boot but seemed to glitch and wasn't playable, had no sound, joystick wasn't wired up, had plenty of work to do to straighten things out. Recapped the K4600 and replaced a pot to fix the rolling, found a broken trace at the ribbon connector between the game boards and repaired it, sound came back, got the whole thing running smooth. I'm confused about one thing-- I have all the colors displaying correctly as far as I can tell, but the roadsides are looking way more blue than purple. But elsewhere the game seems to display red, green, purple, blue- whatever and everything seems reasonable, but it seems like the sides of the road need to be more purple than blue.

I've looked up images and videos of various Froggers in the wild and most look normal but I did definitely find several examples that displayed a blueish roadside just like mine, what's up with that? Is it down to more monitor adjustment or is it more of a board issue maybe? I'm willing to ignore it really but it's nagging me. My photo doesn't seem to capture it the best but it's noticeable in person. I think my own reflection in the plexi muddied up the colors in the picture, made the water look reddish or purple but it's blue.

Not sure, but you could check the color PROM (IC25)... I had a board with bad green caused by that. But the PROM itself could be fine and there could just be an issue with the circuitry telling it which color to draw.

I haven't looked at a Frogger PCB in a while, but here was a repair log from a couple I worked on, in case it helps: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/frogger-repair-help.494460/
