I have a Frogger that the back ground music fades almost away. Background music starts good, but after 10-20sec. starts to fade away until you can hardly hear it. Vol. is turned up all the way.The Froggers movement sounds are fine, so I don't think there is a problem with vol. pot or speaker. Any ideas??

Tony,
Thanks for the idea, however reseating ribbon cable did not work. I checked all ICs to make sure they are seated well. I did swap out the lower (large PCB) board with another tested and working one with no improvement, I do not have a good small (sub logic) pcb to use for testing. I did however replace the sound IC U11(AY-3-8910) on smaller PCB with no improvement.I am guessing the problem lies in the small (sub logic) PCB.
Anybody else have an idea??
Thanks for any help

Thanks for the good idea. Unfortunately it did not correct problem. I replaced the 4 electrolytic caps on the sub PCB. Problem has changed slightly though. After starting game, first "song" plays fine(20seconds?), but all songs/music after are very faint, and when game ends music goes in and out. Any ideas where to go next? Are the 3 Eproms on sub board for the music? If so could one of them be going bad?
Thanks again for any ideas

A bad eprom isnt going to make the sound fainter, its going to cause the sounds to be messed up or totally missing.
