Friends Who Know Jack Shit About Arcades/Pins But Are Always Trying To Give Advice

Blake:

Some folks just are how they are. I doubt there are many folks out there that you can consider a bro in cade - If you and this buddy have been frequenting arcades and playing arcade machines together for years I am pretty sure that you have seen that he has probably always been this way Maybe not to everybody, but especially to the ones he is comfortable with. You aren't going to change him, so learn to ignore the bs. Some folks have to be know it alls, and since bros in cade are few and far between, just accept it and enjoy the rest of the relationship.

Some folks just are how they are. You have been a member here as long as Mark has and you know well his mode of operation. Personally, HudsonArcade is one of my favorite KLOV personalities and I don't see him in blatant violation of "social norms". A genius at what he does, and those short responses and comments are a part of who he is. You aren't going to change him, so learn to ignore the bs. Some folks have to be know it alls, and since bros in cade are few and far between, just accept it and enjoy the rest of the relationship.

Thank you for your advice. I disagree. I will not allow inappropriate behavior here to go unchecked, regardless of who perpetrates it. I want for this to be a community that comes together to share their passion for the vintage arcade hobby, and I have zero tolerance for anything that pushes people away from enjoying it.

You're entitled to your opinion. So am I.

I have no problems with that. Not sure how much good it will ever do or if the remark made was even worth the effort to check, but that is your battle, and if it ends up making this a better place, I say great. I do feel that part of everyone getting along is there has to be some tolerance.

He has been on this forum eight years longer that you have. Because it matters how old your account is. It's a thing... We have a badge and stuff... So... Now you know.

That's not even worth making a meme about.

Edit: I am trying to step to the light side of klov. I want to be more about repairs and sharing what I learn. Twitch stream and youtube.

So I am going to stop here in this thread. GoodDay.

Hudson may be a character, but of the writings I have read here, and on his site, he knows his shit.

I've always been fond of the saying, "I may grow old, but I'll never grow up."

It seems that others may have taken this mantra to an absurd level. If Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un were into arcade games, this would be their thread! :)

When I first started on KLOV, I was attacked (at least that's how I perceived it) for not posting the way others would prefer I post. Stupid me; I thought organizing individual problems into separate threads would make more sense. Who knew??? :)

Anyway, after a little fighting back, I quickly realized the arguments were juvenile and fruitless, and were getting in the way of my getting help with my video game problems; and that's why I'm here.

So, save the drama for yo' mama, as they say. I've got no beef with anyone on here. I might roll my eyes from time to time, but that's about it. The information and resources on KLOV are worth much more to me than bristling my back hairs and jumping into the fray.
