So, my two sit down Hydro Thunder Arcade cabinets did not fair to well with my recent move. One of my screens does not work at all and the other one needs to be adjusted or maybe the cathode needs to be recharged. I am assuming the cabinet with the semi-working monitor is the one I already had the cap kit performed on and sent off to a place in Vegas to get rebuilt. I'm assuming these monitors may need to get the CRT re-charged? I can't remember what it is called. I am tired of dealing with screen problems and looking to just switch to an lcd panel upgrade. I don't have the know how to fix the monitor if it needs more than swapping out and sending it to get fixed. Any recommendations on someone who can help would be great. Thank you!

Hello,
I'm gonna ping this gentleman here @TheNickDuong
What you are looking for is a cap kit. There's another repair service in Covina California down south called PNL. You can send your chasiss there to get fixed.
But I agree with you for this type of game. They'll look fine with a nice 27" lcd and a Gonbes 8200 you'll be up and running!

Assuming the local guy(s) don't work out, I'd take out the chassis and send them to PNL. They're in/around LA.

I'd avoid Sharp Image for high resolution chassis service. Had a really bad experience not long ago where they kept two chassis boards I sent to them for nearly a year, claimed they couldn't be fixed, then sent them back to me after I got tired of waiting. Sent them to PNL, they were fixed and returned to me within 72 hours.

Thanks, good to know. Sharp Image did take a while to get my one board looked at when I used them last. A quick turn around would be great.

I've had the exact opposite experience. I will never use PNL again but have had good luck the sharp repair in Vegas.
