I thought about asking a few bucks for these. but it looks like jammaboards.com is even having a hard time getting rid of there's!

So these are free, you just reimburse me for the shipping, please. I'll send you exact cost.

There were pulled as intact as I could get them, disconnected at the molex connectors at the coin door, fluorescent light, controls...etc. It will have the forked ends at the power supply. The machines they came from were untested, so you get a little bit of drama.

Anyway, didn't wanna throw these out. Does anybody know the return on copper, though?

Send a PM if you want one. I have 4. In a month or so i should have more.

How many harnesses are we talking about? I'm interested. Any idea what shipping to NY would cost?

Let me know.

Thanks

I wasn't as clear as I should have been in that post. I have 4, and will hand them out to the first 4 who want them. If you want one Pengo, you're #2, cause 1's already gone.

I don't imagine shipping would be much? They don't weight much and would survive a bubble envelope or small box. Couldn't imagine more than 8 bucks.

I can get one going your way mahnomen, but i was limiting them to 1 per person. Dunno why I've had a tough time conveying that...

But you're the 4th. Received some PMs that that's the last one. I'll send you a PM for details.

Thanks for looking, I guess this thread can be closed?

Unless you have a lot of insulated copper wire then it's probably not worth your time. Prices on copper basically fluctuate daily. I believe a few months back it was at .65 a lb. This is actually low because a year or year and a half ago it was in the $1- $1.25 range. Unless you have 100lbs or more it's probably not worth your time. That's up to you though. Best way to find out is to call your local recycler and ask todays going rate for insulated copper. Try to give the best description of the wire you can as there are different types of insulated copper and different prices paid per lb for each.

I'll be in for one when you have more. I just cut an entire used harness apart to build kick haresses for my Jamma switcher project in my Jam TE. Put 2 on 2 Open ice in there w/ it.

Next time I strip a cabinet and remove the harness I guess i'll offer it up here instead of throwing it out.

With the amount of cabinets I had to go through, it was a bit tedious stripping the harnesses out of each... so i didn't. But what would've made me feel even more crappy, would be to throw out the ones I DID save.
