Free nonworking game on Craigslist . Easiest fix of all time.
My brothers friend alerted him to a free game on craigslist. My brother called the seller and arrange a pick up for me. One of those first come first serve deals. I pull up and in the driveway sits an NFL Blitz 99 with the back off and the control panel sitting on the ground next to it. The college kid that owned the game said he found it on the side of the road with a free sign that said it worked. Him and his buddies brought it home and plugged it in but nothing happened. He had it sitting around the house for a few months and decided he just wanted it gone. I loaded it up and brought it home. It was full of leaves and dirt but all seemed intact. I vacuumed out the cab and started looking for a reason it wouldn't turn on. I checked the fuses and looked for other obvious things that it might prevent it from firing up. It occurred to me, he said, "We plugged it in and it didn't come on." I thought it was possible that they didn't know about the power button on top. I plugged it in, flipped the switch and it power right up and plays like a dream. I'm glad I only spent 5 min troubleshooting. I guess they don't teach (Arcade Games 101) in college.
