FREE near Raleigh, NC - Apple IIGS monitors for test benches
I mentioned these in my other posts but the monitors themselves are getting comments so I figured I'd pull it into a separate post with monitor info for later reference too. I also did a youtube video of using one of them for arcade PCB testing and how to hook them up:
FREE: Apple IIGS RGB monitors. Work great for test benches. They are 10" and enclosed and are super easy to make an adapter (essentially a plug) for arcade games. I have maybe 5 of them. I scoured thrift shops for years looking for them and this is my whole stash. A google for the pinout of the plug shows you how to wire it (or watch my video). I had big plans to make some bartops with them but never did and probably never will. I paid ~$10 each for them (would still like to get something for them but willing to give them away if i have to).
You can see one in use here: http://thebrokenjoystick.com/picture...g/MVC_008F.jpg
and youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B4jH8bz-i0
I also have a few others that aren't Apple but are RGB and can easily be made to work also with the proper plug. I also have a couple C64 monitors that won't work easily with arcade games but are free also.
I will NOT ship these. Come and get them. If someone travels to get the other stuff I'm selling/giving away, maybe they can bring them back for collectors in his area.

+1 on the IIgs monitors. Those things are great. Extremely sharp picture, the perfect size for a test bench monitor. Also, they're excellent as a computer monitor too - but then again, as a long time II user, I'm a bit biased
I use one on my test rig, and have for years. Another nice feature is that they sit nicely on their side, so you can use them for playtesting vertical games...
