Free Games in Detroit Not Mine

Dang wish I would have seen this earlier. Too busy to go check it out. If anyone here gets them, let us all know what you scored.
 
wow long drive for me to check and not score...hope someone gets soemthiung unless its a gaffle scam...meaning they will start robbing you when you show up

All right, did anybody get these? I got there about an hour after it posted and got the last one. It was a Gaplus.....

Anybody get or know what the first 4 were?
 
i was there at 430 to 440. no games. address didnt existi it was 1020 and the closest address was 1030.
 
With all the fake ads we have in the Detroit CL listings, I thought for sure it was bullshit. Glad to hear that someone got something.

He said it's in a dedicated cab which is a Ms.Pac type cab with nice side art. Powers up with glitchy video on the screen.

I asked Nick to post pix being I haven't seen it yet. For free I wouldn't be too picky! :D
 
Awesome! Glad to know it was real and not another BS scam posting that has been so common lately. Gaplus is a great title. Especially for free.

I emailed the ad just for shits and giggles asking what the titles were and here is the reply.


HI ROB,

I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE MACHINES. THEY WERE IN THE BACK OF A BOX TRUCK THE OWNER STORED IN MY YARD FOR 6 YEARS. I GOT TIRED OF LOOKING AT IT AND CALLED A JUNK YARD TO PICK IT UP. I THOUGHT SOMEONE COULD USE THE MACHINES SO I PUT THEM ON THE CURB.

Sounds like someone might have made a nice score. If a complete semi-working Gaplus is what someone else "left behind", I wonder what was taken before?

I was thinking the same thing. You never know though, a lot of people just sit there looking for free ads to pop up and run out to grab whatever it is to resell. They might have just snatched a better known game that isn't as good because they didn't know better. You'll most likely see them posted back up not working for $1500 a piece.

LOL, i wrote him the same email asking what titles....can't imagine how many other emails he'll get with the same question.
 
i imagine a person not on here got the other ones. detroit is very busy, lots of traffic.
anyone driving by with a truck would grab them.
even empty cabs i throw out are gone within an hour and im in the boonies.
