OK, I have a pretty sweet arcade T-shirt up for grabs. It is XL and has never been worn. It is generic and white, but it's generic-ness makes it cool. "Alley Fighter"? "Wack Man"? Come on, that's awesome. Anyhoo, in order to claim this free tee for yourself, you need to tell me what 80's cartoon would have made the best stand up arcade game. If I agree, you win. Must have a quick marquee design (ms paint, photoshop, illustrator, whatever) in addition to a name and brief description of the gameplay and/or levels. Let's give this til noon today.

I vote Voltron.
Side scroller where each of the individual lions demonstrate their unique attacks while destroying a seemingly endless swarm of enemies that join together for boss battles.

Sorry, I have no photoshop skills.

Good Call man.

Cartoon Arcade

Not quite the 80's, but what about the Herculoids? Awesome show with cool characters that would have been fun to play on a four player with your buddies!

A "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" game would have been an easy translation. 3P coop side scroller. The same formula you're used to with Spider-man games, but you'd also be able to pick Ice Man or Firestorm.

I don't know what the goal would be, but I would have played a Secret Squirrel game:

No time to photoshop right now.

I'm not playing for that shirt but I like the game...

Thundar the Barbarian
3P side scrolling dungeon crawler like D&D or Golden Axe

To serious I would want to say Transformers but every TF game ever made sucked.

But a laser disc TF game would be awesome with 1980's cartoon footage!

This would rock hard. The possibilities are endless on this one. So many sweet creatures, so many enemies and alien landscapes. I love this concept.

I think it's obvious- Thundercats would be the best. Side-scrolling platformer with levels for each character with Slithe, Monkeeian and Jackalman as bosses and Mumm-Ra as the final boss.

If we're stretching it to late 70's, Battle of the Planets would be the hands-down winner.

Oh shit, lookie there, 12:04 CST. BaymenCoach, you win the shirt. PM me your address. Tune in next week when the Free Friday Prize will be a Chinese Famicom Knock-off system with NES Cart adapter.
