I have a bubbles cabinet (side art mostly painted over but paint can be pulled off without hurting Bubbles artwork) thats wired to jamma with 2 joysticks each with 2 buttons.
I was going to MAME it but now i'd rather just have the room.
Let me know if you want it and when you can come and get it.

i picked this up last weekend, thanks Dave!
the monitor alone made it worth the drive... and 45 minutes with a hair dryer revealed some very decent sideart... one side was mostly uncovered, the other just had like a square foot in the middle picked off... paint picked off easily in small pieces, but with a little heat and a radio shack gift card, i was able to pull large sheets off

still needs some picking on the edges and t-molding, but overall its very nice
now i need to decide what to do with this cabinet

williams multi game it if you aren't going to restore it to bubbles. You can keep the sideart the same, and the control panel is already hacked.

I would like to have a bubbles dedicated at some point.

Yep I'd say these are the only two real options. Anything else would be blasphemy. Personally I'd make it look like a dedicated bubbles with all the art and probably run the jrok multi in it.

while i totally agree, the JROK option being the best, with full bubbles artwork restore, i'm not sure the end justifys the mean$... the purist in me says full bubbles restore, the jrok/clay multi williams is an easily justifiable solution and may be the only way to make it worthwhile... and any other emulated multiwilliams could be accomplished for much less with a simple mame setup... not ideal but probably the cheapest and easiest option, either way with a multi i won't be happy with the control panel unless they are modular or limited in games, normal MW panels are too cluttered, worse than a lot of mame setups
EDIT: and just to clarify, this things already hacked up, so MW or mame wouldn't be too blasphemous, it would only be a way to postpone its restoration until a time when it makes sense (cost, time, and priority-wise) without the space it takes up becoming a nuisance. Thats often how cabinets end up ruined in storage from rot, weather, neglect, even as mame machine it would probably be upgraded from the garage to the indoor arcade...

i'll start a new thread in "general" at some point, but for now continue in this thread:

Good to see that one saved...I had a bubbles I saved from the conversion end too.....sideart was very nice and the hardest part was finding the spare parts...but I ended up being able to save the control panel..just bondo sand extra holes and NOS cpo's are out there...dokert made me new harness and it was sold to a another collector to be enjoyed...I had a Home use only one in my personal collection but still couldn't resist fixing that one...

Bubbles

If I did'nt have one I would use these parts towards it.

Sweet, does that mean you want to use them on mine? I already checked in with you on a joystick, maybe a package deal could get this project rolling? Let me know what you would want for the set, or joystick and marquee?

I havent asked the forum for the marquee yet, but any trades that could make a deal woiuld be prefered

Parts

What parts do you have for trade, I was actually thinking of getting the cab for my friend Andy to try and restore it for his arcade but either way as long as it gets restored.
