I have a 19" TV with a A48AFN00X Tube and CR-31 adapter. The TV was picked up from the recycling center and has no power cord but the tube looks good. I have no use for it, I need CR-23. I'm offering it to anyone who wants to come get it.

I can get 19" CR-31 tubes like nobody's business. All free. If anybody wants any, let me know.

Yeah I have a bunch of those too, seems the CR23 tubes have been a little scarce and if one does happen to come my why it's a damn 20" A51 tube! :(

Quick question if I may. My 27" TV just blew out. and Boy did it stink up the place. Could I take the Tube out and some how fix it and throw it into say a Blitzz or a raceing arcade set up? Sorry, didn't know where to ask.

It depends on what blew out, but it is possible that you can transfer a chassis/frame and reuse the tube.

I hate those 20" tubes! The CR-23s are definitely more scarce around here. I usually get 1 or 2 CR-23s out of 6 viable candidate TVs. On my last run, I got 3 out of 7.

Yes you can as long as the chassis will work with a 27" tube. 25" tubes are more commonly used with arcade games.

Just an FYI, the tube is spoken for and the recipient is ok with me pulling the neckboard, so OZ I'll PM you within the next day or two.

I finally found a CR-23

Zenith

It took 4 thrift stores and a lot of gas. Finding CR-31's is simple, finding CR-23's in Central Jersey is not easy. I'm think that I will keep looking for another and if I find one I'll keep it in the shed.

Can you get the yoke readings off the tube for me? I'll add it to my list (linked in my sig)

Jeff

Orion, which yoke? The one that I'm giving away is:

Quasar
TP1921FE-3
A48AFN00X
Vert 16.1ohm - Horiz 5.1ohm.

I'll probably check the new tube over the weekend when I might have time to actually try the swap.
