Freddy pinball working, but no Freddy voice, all other sounds work

So i finally got my Freddy machine up and running, but I don't ever hear Freddy's voice (like when you first start, it should say "freddy's home" or something like that). But the rest of the sound effects work. Is that a setting maybe?

Also, when do you get to use the Freddy glove flipper. I havent seen it move yet. Its doesnt flip when in test mode either. Thanks!

FIXED IT! there was a bent pin on that weird ribbon cable for the sound board. everything seems to be working 100% like it should be! FINALLY!!!

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP EVERYONE WHO CHIMED IN ON OTHER THREADS OF MINE

The captive ball at the top right (by the boiler room) qualifies the glove flipper. I think you can also get it in the "mystery" shot. The glove flipper will only work after the ball is kicked up to the ramp. If it doesn't work, I would check the fuse.

cool, the glove works... just dont get to use it too often.

also, when the ball goes in the little hole at the top left of the playfield (back behind Freddy's head kind of) it just sits there for about 15-20 seconds before the game spits it out.

i think it's not recognizing the ball there, but automatically ejects all captive ball areas to find the ball. does that make sense?

if that's the case, how do you go about fixing that?

how do I go about checking/adjusting the switch for that capture area? thanks!

That makes perfect sense. If the switch on that upkicker isn't registering, the game has "lost" the ball and it fires solenoids to find it.

Go into test mode (open coin door, pull out interlock switch and hit the test button on the little board inside the coin door. The test button cylces through the tests) and first do the inop switch test and see if that switch is inoperative. Next go to the switch edge test and drop a ball into the upkicker hole. If the switch doesn't register you have an adjustment problem or a bad switch. You will have to lift the playfield to get at the switch, its in a tough spot.

once I get to it, what do I do? :)

If it didn't work during the switch test, either the switch (or its wires) is bad or the switch isn't being activated (adjustment issue). Confirm that the switch is being activated by the ball. If it isn't, adjust it. If it is, test the switch. There should be continuity between the NO and GND terminals when the switch is pressed.

i think its just an adjustment issue because the more i play the game, the more it is starting to work. when i first got it, the game almost never realized that the ball was in the capture hole, but now, it seems like 80% of the time it does, and it spits it right out.
