Michael Angelo Auction (see pics online) only had one pin, southpark ($1200) and it was beat. Only one classic, Super Pac-Man ($300), eh OK I guess. A reunion cab went for $1k, lots of drivers and sit down stuff that sold for decent prices if you had the space. Lots of redemption and a handful of ops buying up whatever they could. LOTS of passes when they didn't get prices expected. I took lots of pictures and will post when I can get organized. Saw Pat S there and didn't recognize anyone else. Games all had Namco inventory tags on them and I actually saw one change machine with an Aladdin's Castle tag, weird.

I got jobbed on the Mario Kart GP. It's really hard to follow those auctions online. I clicked to bid at $200 and it accepted the bid, but the next thing I heard was them moving on to the next item, and the MK GP was listed as "Sold - $200" to someone at the show. Then I hear the guy who is overseeing the online auction say something...I'm guessing he finally realized I bid $200 too and they went back to it...after starting the bidding for the next item! Mass confusion ensues, and when the online listing finally updates, I see the amount is at $500, waiting on $750. Not cool.

Chris is right, it was weird pricing. a reunion went for over a 1000 and when he got to the 2nd reunion started at a grand and nobody budged and he passed on it right away. only a few things the wife and i were interested in. wanted the bowl o ramas and he killed that auction on me because he know he wasnt going to get the 2500 asking price for them. He came to us after the auction and offered both of them for a deal of 4000 for both of them since we were the high bidder when he killed them. not a chance in hell. way off from what i was willing to spent. we did score a 7ft commercial dynamo air hockey in real good shape with a new top and a crazy taxi sitdown. (which im still looking for my nuts after unloading it :) i didnt get any pictures. i feel your pain on the mario Kart, he killed the auction fast because again he knew he wasnt going to get the money he was looking for.

anyone know what that piece of crap ms pac went for in the back area at the end? i left before he was done.

Pat

Those are auctions from Namco's warehouse. I guarantee 100% Mario Kart did not sell at $500. It had a mininum reserve at $2500 at the last auction here and it's the same company and same guy running the auctions. Namco has minimum bids on each item unless it's fighting games and some driving games and shooters. Things like Time Crisis 3 would have a reserve as would Mario Kart.

Nothing weird about Aladdin's Castle tag, Namco owns anyone with that name. The 80s Aladdin's Castles are no more, just Namco disguised now.

How much did the Landing High Japan go for? I missed the online aution as Seawolf and I were picking up my Qbert and some other stuff.

There were actually two landing high's at the auction. One sitdown and one standing version, or the sitdown just missing the seat...I dunno couldn't hang around that long. I missed the hammer price, but the guy that paid $1k for the reunion got the nicer of the two. Maybe price is online?

I know Namco grabbed up Aladdin's Castle, but it was strange to see the tag on a change machine that was supposed to be a BC3500, which is a newer machine. Do they still operate locations with the name?

The Landing High at the Milwaukee auction was nice and fully working (sit down). It went for $590. I bid it up to $500 but just didn't have the stones to go higher since I had no plan whatsoever as to what I would do with it besides play it for a week. Sounds like this auction was even worse than the Milwaukee auction which also sucked.

Any idea what the 4 sets of Daytonas went for? I have a buddy looking for one if we ever get an auction in the Detroit area.

There's an Aladdin's Castle in Bowling Green, KY, so I know they still operate locations under that name but are probably going to close all the mall ones eventually.

Daytona I duals at the auction I was at by this company went for only $400

im glad i didnt waste my time then....

pat, glad to hear you finally got a air hockey table and the crazy taxi, ct is one i gotta get someday!
