I like how essentially every remotely popular video arcade game has been requested to be FPGA'd in this thread

Why create FPGA for games that suck? :p

This quoted statement got me thinking... interest in creating new FPGA for 70s/80s games will probably die off with the Baby Boomer & Gen X.

What should the order of importance be, for deciding which games get FPGA'd?

Using the following criteria:
  • Popularity
  • Scarcity
  • Reliability
  • Custom Chips
  • Simplicity of Hardware
  • Profit (added in edit)
  • something not listed?

We also have the issue of fun games that were made in limited numbers, not getting the attention they deserve... then you have those people who believe fun is subjective or something.

Crazy.
