FOUND - Two-Bits ABC Diagnostic ROM

Positivity x10. Appreciated as always.

Let's take a poll, Me trying to help whenever I can here and not knowing all the answers but saying so and also being thankful of people who try to help me also vs. you being a classless, condescending, absolute total jerk to everyone, all the time, every day -

I'm guessing that people here would take my misinformation and ignorance.
chances are he developed a more efficient technology 20 years ago. but there are no more for sale. :(

also he does actually help people every 32 times. (probably the political posts count in this quota) we're all pretty fascinated by it when it actually happens, every time.

I guess I had to be doing this instead of going to college in 2001. :(

If you really want to use the Two Bits Rom, you can just buy this PCB off of ebay. The rom works fine with it:

Funny... when I made them in 2020, they were only $25.

Where exactly in this thread full of wrong answers did you "help" anyone or say you didn't know the answer?
Perhaps if you listened more and talked less you'd actually learn something.

Lots of clowns around here, I''ll fit right in.
Now I am just working on becoming THE G.O.A.T. clown, will be hard to knock the current G.O.A.T. off his pedestal though.
But with enough effort and attempts at being a jerk to people, I think I have a shot.

Clown > Kiddo > Twinkie

BTW, a quote from Dokert, not sure if true or false but seems reasonable:

"The Two-Bits diagnostic module, bypasses all ROMs in row 6 as stated above. Usually when the diagnostic module is left in place with the Game ROM installed, there is a problem on the board. You would need the Diagnostic ROM to tell for sure.

You can also change the game to a standard Pacman by simply swapping out the character ROMs 5E & 5F if I remember correctly."

Speaking to just the diagnostics portion of the kit, I used it heavily 16-17 years ago to test/diagnose a number of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man boards. For this function, it helped and was good for the quick diagnostic. For complicated repairs, it was not as useful.

Of course, I also used a bootleg aux PCB that included the row 5 ROMs to further test, since it helped root out other issues.

I have a new version of this that will be ready soon, i have tested it with header instead of ribbon and it slides under the daughter board.
added a header instead of cutting jumper for pac/ms.
will update when fully tested.
