Great Find!

Do not get lowballed on this item. it is worth ALOT of money. Even untested as/is ($2000+). War of the Worlds is maybe the most uncommon vector game made. Very low production # and only about 4-8 have ever been found in collections or otherwise. If you are going to sell it just put it on eBay because you are not going to get what it's worth from anyone on here...:)

wow, ive only seen one of these games locally (hardcore vector collector has one in the OC) .....very cool man.

does the kit include the colored monitor overlay? or is the game the colored vector version. i think there were 2 versions of war of the worlds. chris

I don't think war of the worlds is that rare.. Now finding a deamon, thats rare.

Still, nice find. I don't think its a $2k find, but you never know.

Maybe not worth $2K. Maybe. - you know how crazy people get.

I'll tell you what I think- unless you paid a bunch for it and need to recoup, I think it would be cool displayed on your wall, like you have it in the pictures.

Hell- mount it and put it under glass. Even if you don't care about the game, it IS rare and makes a very cool piece to add to your 'collection'.

Awesome find Flynn..... of course, you could find a Star Castle cab, gut it, and build a WotW. Might be worth even more.

If you have time, would you post a close up shot of the pcb....I'm curious to see if there's any specific markings to WotW vs Star Castle or Armor Attack.

I know of only one soul who has one of these kits, and he is in Chi town. Really awesome find Brad, I love the look of that game, but as the coders/ programmers never really finished it, it is pretty sucktastik to play, or so I've heard.

I think steve O or zonn documented the changes to star castle for WOW like 10 years ago. Don't know if you can find it as the info I think was talked about on the vectorlist.

Pretty sure its roms and jumpers to a star castle sound board.

So how does the game play...heard of it but never seen any screen shots..

There are a couple on KLOV.

It is playable in MAME. I played it when I was going through all the vector games checking them out. It is not THAT bad of a game to play.
