I was there during opening weekend (I guess it is the joy of living in a tourist city).
Very cool place. The only really big issue with that place is their information. Even if you just walk in, there is a bunch of information they do not tell you.
I can tell you the information I know thus far (trust me, this information helps):
They can't decide what should be 50 cents and what should be a quarter. Some newer games are 25 cents, some newer games are 50 cents, and vise versa with older games. There does not seem to be much rhyme or reason why it is like that.
Also, their featured games are free to play at the bar. They are all console games for featured games, but whatever. It would be awesome if they had a single arcade machine that was a featured game and set to freeplay.
Drinks are overpriced. Well, by strip standards it is normal. This one is a small gripe from a person that lives here. See, on East Fremont Street, where there are way more locals than most of the other places in Vegas, drinks come much cheaper. A big portion of that is because there are a crap ton of locals that frequent there compared to other places. This place has standard tourist prices. When they charged me $10 for a white russian, well, I only ended up getting one drink that night.
It is 21 and older and they check ids at the door.
They have a decent selection of arcade games (I know for klovers, that is probably the more important part). I really enjoyed their classics they had. You can tell when you go over to there arcade portion (which is also right by the door, it is a big section) that they truly favor the classics. You have to go somewhere like GameWorks (on the strip) to get newer games.
The music is crazy loud there. Do not expect to listen to the ambiance of the arcade you are playing, because most of the time the music is so loud to where you can't even hear the game you are playing.
If you want to rent a booth, you need to get there early. When I went there, I got there at about 10pm, and all booths were filled. Booths are $15 an hour. If you are playing an older console game, it is not really worth it, but if you are playing ps3 or 360, 4 hours of drinking at a club playing a game, and you are good.
Their console selection is pretty good. Not many obscure games. Pretty much the common, non rare games that most people remember from the systems.
It truly does feel like a mix between an arcade that has console stations and full cabs and a night club. It feels slightly odd with that mix, but these guys pull it off.
Also, if anybody is in the Vegas area and ever wants to go on a Friday or Saturday, hit me up through a PM or something and I would be happy to meet you there.
EDIT: I have no affiliation with this place.
Their Virtua Fighter 2 cab is a disappointment. The monitor is totally messed up and not even all of the controls work on the game (when there are 4 buttons including the player 1 start button, that is not much to keep in working order).
Most of their games work very well, but some of them, since I last went, were totally not working well at all.
EDIT 2: if people want to see pics, I would suggest looking them up on facebook. (they are under "Las Vegas Classic Arcade Bar & Lounge")
