FOUND: Major Havoc $10,000 (up to)

good story! thanks for sharing.

Anyone else have a story to share about their affinity for it?
How about the Original Poster of the topic?

I played this dedicated game back in the day at a local arcade in Upland California, the arcade was right by Upland High School and it was called James games, which the arcade is still there and is still open for business.
I got real good at the game and played it all the time. the owner of the arcade finally took it out years later because of always having monitor issues of course. He kept it in his garage for years, one day he offered it to sell it to me for $300 the only reason I did not buy it is because I didn't know how to work on them back then, I regret that now of course. this has always been my most favorite game of all of them.

my memory of playing the game would have been fall of 1983 in the big arcade on the French Quarter in New Orleans. It was down toward the edge of the district.
It had that classic neon glow that also drew me into Tempest years before.
In hindsight I think it was the personality added into the character and the sci-fi theme which were the hook.
I also remembered the bouncy lightness of the character being interesting to engage when jumping.

tried to get into it in mame but it was slow....assume that was a lot about my cheap graphics card. then i realized the game was too tedious and precise with memorization for me to get into. I also compiled a bunch of online resources here- http://www.robotron2084guidebook.com/home/games/majorhavoc/
