I've recently come across a Hunchback conversion kit for Donkey Kong boards.

Apparently it was made by a company called Century Electronics who made it around 1983.

Anyone have or play one?

Is it any fun?

And any idea what something like this is worth?

I've only played it on MAME. A DK board I bought on eBay had it installed, but it wasn't working. I pulled the eproms and threw them out as the labels were homemade and some weren't registering.

gackattack is something of a hunchback expert. He'll probably see this thread soon enough.

It's a good game, don't let your eyes or other people tell you different. If you like tough games, you've found the right one.

I have a working one. Rarely play it. But I do like it. Easier than MAME version if I remember correctly...maybe it was the other way around.

I had a dedicated hunchback board at one time, along with the marquee and cpo, but I never got around to testing it and ended up selling it.

Share it here! I'd love to know more.

Sorry, forgot to reply :)

I have several classic Nintendo machines that were converted when I got them, and have kits including Hunchback that I plan to bring to CAX this year. These are 'dedicated' conversion kits. They are all minimal conversions to DK or DK Jr. PCBs, and CPO/marquees. I'll post pics and show here on KLOV when they are ready (hopefully in the next week or two). Games that I currently have doing this:

1. Hunchback
2. Hero in the Castle of Doom
3. Super Bike
4. Special Forces Kung Fu Commando

-NEW- conversions

5. DK Remix (w/D2K)
6. DK Jr. Remix

#1 & #2 are pretty fun, #3 & #4 are awful  but interesting, #5 & #6 are awesome :D

I've also got some CVS 'dedicated' games for my Tuni cabinet, which currently has Hunchback in it.

Wow Super Bike! I watched some streams of that when it was in the crap MAME tourney awhile back. Looked very frustrating.

Never seen the full kits, but I've un-converted several Hunchback and Superbike boards back into Donkey Kong boards over the years.
