I had to drive 32 miles and into some mountain-ish area. It was stored in a shed and tarped. There's tons of problems but I'm going to abandon my other Mario project cause it's too much work to get that one working and combine these... parting out my spares. Since this one poped up and didn't have an asking price... I offered him a $100 for it and he tried to get more from me but...

1) had missing sounds
2) no original bezel
3) sitting outside for who knows how long
4) base missing 2 sides and sitting on rocks
5) Sharp Monitor is folding (needs a cap kit)

I didn't try to screw them since they were nice folks and just wanted to get the Mario into some good hands to restore it. Their 13 year old still loved it...

Little did they or I know that the original bezel was inside... a little scratched but it was inside.

The bucket even had a quarter in it.

I love the money shot! I know it's stupid, but I get a sense of accomplishment when I find quarters inside the cabinets.

Me too, even tho it makes no sense... I once found $9 in quarters in a cab I'd just paid $150 for and you'd have thought I'd won the lotto...

What's the serial #?

A few years ago I went to a house that was in foreclosure and a company was hired to get rid of the stuff that was left behind. They had some "games" for sale. So I drove up there and they had about 6-7 MB widebodies, all had been converted to other games.

I can't wait to see it in it's former glory. Might I suggest Gregatron's MB restoration showcase thread as a guide to how to make your WB Mario Bros. absolutely immaculate.

my 2nd set of pics

I was trying to load this late last night but forums went down for servicing.

Basically i'm trying to combine all of the good parts form this and my 01002 WB.
From both of these I'll have one good cab and a bunch of parts to sell off.

Shoot for the sky... restore it like Gregatron's MB

Serial # 02960

Nice score! I love MB widebodies. If you're interested in selling one of the serial # tags, I'll take one... my project widebody had been converted to another game and was missing the original tag. Jess is right about Gregatrons restore thread... his is beautiful.

where it stands today

OK, I posted before about the CP rebuild and last night I got the board back from Dick M. I dropped in the Braze HS/FP kit and fired the puppy up.

I swapped in for a monitor that I had capped and pulled from my PC10 which had some odd color bands. It seemed to go away in the MB WB so maybe it'll stay here.

Next, I figure out my Popeye running in a MB issues.
