Nah, there's no wax. It might look like it because the camera flash lights up the thin parts near the bottom of the post and the color of the playfield is showing through. Showing wax after a shop job is like walking out of the bathroom with toilet paper stuck to your shoe.

It looks like there's still some wax on the bottoms but I could be wrong. I usually use a toothbrush and windex.

Restoration looks good, jar155. I spent most of this last weekend disassembling and cleaning mine. The rear tunnels look like they've never been cleaned before. I'm just waiting on the new rubbers, which I hope will be coming in the mail today.

Lindsey, thanks for the tip on cleaning the star posts. There's a lot of wax buildup on mine and I was having trouble cleaning it off. An old toothbrush and windex should do the trick.
