My Tron story is as follows:

Several years ago, I had a lot of overtime hours racked up at work and my boss didn't really want to pay overtime so he gave me a game instead. It just so happened to be a Tron. It had no power supply and the sides were covered with a nasty black textured paint. Ugh. I was able to get the game running in short order, however, I was not satisfied with the sides. I found a donor cabinet that had been coverted to Two Tigers. It so happened that whoever converted it just plopped the Two Tigers art directly over the Tron side art, preserving it nicely. I did a parts swap into the cabinet with the nicer art. It didn't turn out to bad. However, that cabinet had taken some water previously and the base was not in very good shape. I kept the game for a few years and traded it off after being frustrated with the base and the black joystick handles. I got DK for it. Thinking that I should have kept Tron as I really enjoyed the gameplay. Very fun game.

That's my Tron story. If you have had one but have sold, traded, ect and no longer own one, let's hear why.

My story is even more tragic. I see a minty one for 250 on Craigslist two minutes from me but I'm in a night class, broke, and can't call anyone to borrow from. Sold when I leave the building.

Oh, yeah, pics or it didn't happen :)

I don't have pics, but back in 1988 I bought a TRON game from a chuck-E-Cheese type place in Muncie, PA. Tron, a Super Dodge Ball, and Karate Champ were in the back of the place, turned off, with signs saying FOR SALE $99 on each of them. Got all 3 for $250.

All worked, had Tron for about 4 years, then needed money so I sold it for $400.

I liked it, but did not regret selling it. It was in fair condition, but worked 100%.

I have a TRON mini, but do miss my TRON UR. The artwork adds so much to the game.
