Forgotten Worlds price check

Saw this on the Seattle C/L. Guy was selling everything in that picture.
The whole Set up as a package deal.

The spinners are worth the most. I just sold a dedicated bare (No CPO) FW control panel
last month for over $100.00

Not too long ago the spinners sold for $400.00 without the top caps.
"Magic Knight" is from Japan & he's looking for a set of spinners.

It''ll be a good score. Fun game in my opinion.

Yeah I mainly bought for the cab. I want to make a ghouls and ghosts. The cp, spinners, bezel, and marquee will be sold. Ever since I saw Fizgig ghouls and ghosts I knew I wanted to restore one myself. Thanks Bio

Ill post pics later tonight

Haha you know it is when arcades like this pop up. People get shady and it's Craigslist so the sellers can get shady too! I find its always best to get it in my possession and worry about the other stuff later. Pics to come!

Pictures

Ok guys here are the pics I promised. I haven't done any cleaning or anything to the machine yet. This is how I picked it up. Looks pretty good though. Let me know what you think.

More pics

I hate how the pics get kicked sideways when they load sometimes! Anyways you can change them if you view them in in Windows media viewer! Heres some more pics of the inside of the cab and the sideart. It looks like the monitor can be rotated for vertical as well as horizontal games. Pretty cool!@

Man that's horrible to pickup a FW to turn it into a GnG.

You can easily find a HS1 anywhere and find a better control panel to convert. Parting this out and turning it into a GnG is just horrible. The side art has not be reproduced.

+1

It's your cab so do what you will, but Dynamo cabs are relatively common and more preferable (from a collector's viewpoint) to install a GnG kit than to split up a dedicated rare game.

So you're going to tear off that nice side art? :(

LOL nobodies turning it into a GnG Haha I thought it would take longer for the "Outrage" to happen. The Forgotten Worlds is one of my Top 5 games. GnG is up there too! Man its a lot of fun to play! Besides the cabinet and sideart are in to good of shape to mess with! And you are correct there are a lot of the Dynamo cabs around!

Yeah I can tell from the inside of the cab that this is a dedicated Forgotten Worlds. It has never been anything else! I might have a trade in the works for a GnG. Not sure though. I might keep it or sell it. I don't know yet as its only been a few hours since I picked it up!

I have probably another 3 spare HS1 cabs in my possession and a Modular Dynamo panel like the one that Bio used to to make his ded Ghouls panel. My friend can also build Ghouls boards from a SF2CE board.

The problem is that I had this very nice FW and I played the hell out of it before passing it to a friend. No need for me to get it back... I also got mine for $200

When someone redoes the Forgotten Worlds CPO I'm sure they'll make sure to allign the graphics to the button holes properly so that the replacement ones will be better than the originals.

Bio - I still have a bare metal FW CP... where can I sell it for $100? Man that's crazy!!!

I had to mail it international. The control panel went to Argentina of all places.
There's a gamer out there. I posted a note to go to klov & show pic's where the
CP was going to be installed, but Nada....

Put your CP up there for a few days. Someone who owns a set a spinners, is going to need it. Believe me.

Speaking of Modulars CP's I still have that center piece you need sitting.
Let me know.

Ha ha so true.

Forgotten worlds is one of those games that never made the transition to console very good.

It looks great on the Genesis, but the lack of spinners ruin the gameplay.

It was my first genesis game I got (besides the packin game altered beast) and loved it. It wasn't till a few years later that I seen the arcade version. Would love to try it now and see how it stacks up to how great I remembered it.

It plays well on the ps2 capcom collection. The 2nd stick acts as the spinner, it plays like smash tv.

That seems like it could work okay, but how do you rotate your satellite to a different position? In the arcade version, you spin the knob without pressing it. Super fast, super precise. That's one of the most important things about this game is using your satellite/gun basically as a shield.

This was one of my favorite finish on a single credit games back in High School.
Nice pick up in GREAT shape!
