I hope I put this post in the right category-- anyway, I recently obtained a dedicated Ford gumball machine. It needed a little cleaning but I found a local source that carried the actual Ford branded gumball. Anyone here know a good source to find an actual Ford cast iron stand? I'd like to get one but shipping is some $$ for these!
This thing brings back fond memories of going to my local barbershop as a little kid in the early 70's with my dad. Actually tasting the gum brought out a plethora of memories as well, I think the cinnamon is my favorite flavored gumball thus far! Anyway, enjoy the picture-- it's missing the Ford plaque underneath the slider but I'm enjoying the topper. Thanks to pinballdirec for selling me this as well!

I got a NOS stand for $75 shipped. Guy used to have them listed on ebay. Ended up sending a message and just purchasing directly. I will pm his email to you.

I have a Ford machine as well but mine has a stand with a concrete base. Mine doesn't have a topper and I was thinking about getting one. How does it attach to the glass globe?

Me want. The candy/gumball machines at auction this year were all plastic/plexi. Even the coin turners. Cheap, cheap, cheap. I want metal and glass.

These are the best ones Phet, still can get a plethora of parts online as well. On the topper, just looks to be some sort of adhesive that they use under the metal plate glued directly onto the glass globe. The size gumballs are just a hair over 1/2". I chose the Ford branded ones since those are the ones to get! Phet there's a distributor in MN called Crow River Trading Company that you can buy the 450 qty. bags each for 8 bucks and some change. Other websites don't offer the branded gum unless you buy the machine for $150-$200 in some cases. Ford Gum's website doesn't offer that gum available to the consumer market as well-- only an alternate.
I'm sure you can eBay find the parts as well since I've been looking there. The Crow River Trading has a ton of NOS globes too, nice. I'm going to look at that link you sent me on the Ford bases Whammoed and see if he'll get back to me. This thing is da' bomb!
