Looking to get a Ford gumball machine. Want to put the Ford Brand Chicklet in the machine. Are there two different machines? or will the machine do both the round or Chicklet?

Not sure if there are different mechanisms/inserts, but I have a Ford gumball machine and I have run both the small gumballs and the chiclets without issue. I currently have some fresh Ford chiclets in there. I enjoyed a couple dimes worth last night.

They are different. Different mech's different chutes. The original small chute was replaced with a closed plastic one (health code regs apparently). Then there are others with wider chutes to dispense other candy.

Depending on what machine you have, and if it currently takes the square chicklets, it may take up to the 3/4" sized round balls too. Depends on a few things. Photos of your machine will help.

Anyone know how to remove the collar from the globe?
Also here is a pic of the machine I got.

turn it upside down and turn the lock on the bottom which when you pull it out will remove the shaft that sits up in the collar....be carefull because it can fall apart when you do this. Most of the locks just use a flat tip screw driver....if you have an actual good lock try and get your hands on a Ford key to see if it's still good...don't drill it. I've got the same chicklet one.

Thanks. Got it apart. It doesn't have the key lock it uses a pad lock. Going to get a keyed lock for it.

How do you remove the collar from the around the globe, I want to clean some dirt around the neck of the globe and polish the collar.

Will these fit in this machine?

Yes, these chicklets will work. The ring just prys off the base. You will see a small dimple near the back that holds it in place onto the base.

I have some very important technical advice...if you and/or your kids don't like liquorice pull out the black ones now! My kids were leaving them lying around all over the place before I did that.

Haven't bought any yet, but this person on ebay has them without the licorice.
