The Chinese Theater is my favorite theater. What a cool place. When I lived on that side of town, I went there all the time.

My most vivid memory of Manns Chinese Theater? Driving by just as some bum was taking a freakin' DUMP right there on the sidewalk out front. No... I'm not kidding.

You would not recognize the area now. It's been completely transformed in the last 10 years. The bums have been pushed farther east.

Phet - kudos to you for being so generous. BUT - dude WTF man?? As long as I've been a member here you tend to average twice a year that your wife fucks with you. You spend too much money, you spend too much time working on your games ... you ... you ... you. FFS man, there comes a point and time when a marriage is no longer 50/50 and I hate to punch you in the nuts (ok maybe I enjoy it a tad) but you're there.
Kids need room but there also comes a point where you are simply allowing more shit to be thrown around and bigger messes to be made. If your wife complains about having to clean up now - does she really think it'll be better giving them more space to trash?
I can assure you my wife and I have had plenty of come to Jesus meetings. I don;t always win, but normally I do because I use reason and fact for my case. Neither of which can be argued about. Fact is just that - fact.

Preciate it man, but I am actually happier than hell that this happened. The new game room feels more like an arcade and less like a 'rec room' if that makes any sense. My daughter is also having a blast helping me organize DVD's into categories. They were just getting stacked willy nilly in the theatre as of late, and no one ever took the time to sort them out. I also now have extra shelf space to put up some of my 80's toys that have been in boxes or strewn about the place in disarray. I am not sad about losing the old space, I am actually happy that I acquired the new space. If I woulda said no to this, she would have let it slide, but she would have held it against me for not even trying. Now she smiles and offers me sex. No arguments from me.

Hey, in going thru my DVD's I saw that I still have the Escape from NY Special edition WS DVD set and the EFNY sound track on CD. Neither of these items have been opened, as I had 2 sets of each. Anyone want the pair, Paypal me $30 shipped and they're both yours.

So, when does painting start in the new room? I kind of like home arcades in smaller rooms. Unfortunately my game room / arcade is part of basement / office so I've just made it work. Lucky for me, the kids don't mind.
