Scarce - There are 3 known instances of this machine owned by Tecmo Bowl collectors. Of these, It is an original dedicated machine (not another machine converted with a kit)., and 2 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired.

This game ranks a 1 on a scale out of 100 (100 = most commonly seen, 1=least common) in popularity based on census ownership records.

Pictures of your machine or description of it will help, since we are all klov members, we know where to look in klov to find a stock photo

This is my lucky day, as i have owned 5 of these, so i either had prototypes, or there are more than 3 of them

However, 500 obo is a great price for the game,

Even without the KLOV description, it would seem scarce to me as I have never seen one for sale in CA.

I didn't even see many of these in the arcades back in the day. Out of all of the arcades I went to, only one had a Tecmo Bowl and it seems even they didn't keep it around for long.

There was somebody trying to sell one on ebay not long ago.Not sure how much it went for.I remember playing this at town east mall in mesquite in the late 80's/early 90's.Nice game, but not nearly as awesome as the NES versions. The cab is gigantic and almost certainly extremely difficult to move.I think that factor alone would probably deter me from ever buying one.

I've always found the cabinet for this game to be interesting...but it's SO DAMN HUGE!

Worst part is though, is that the game play is sorta weak. Maybe we have just been spoiled by the NES games, but I've tried this in MAME several times (when I had the opportunity to buy) and it just isn't very fun.

This thing was quite a sight in an arcade back in the day. Cost a lot to play, too.

If you knew a few tricks, it was really easy to play...which is very much in spirit with the entire Tecmo Bowl series. :D

I did love playing this in the arcade BITD. It was the best with 4 players.

well at that rate, I guess my family's old arcade was one of the few to actually ever hold one of these.

we may have held onto it for like a year.. but anyway, yeah, the strategy is quite simple, if you have the ball, just keep wiggling the joystick and mashing buttons and you like almost never get tackled.

not quite as exciting as destroying people with Bo Jackson in the NES one, but pretty ok nonetheless.

I don't think it's as fun in MAME because it's hard to do the button mashing with a gamepad, cause I think most of what the trick derives from is 360 degree motion of the joystick, lol

The gameplay is okay but it seems they used the arcade as a building block for the NES version which kicks ass, otherwise I would have thought we would have seen a direct port.

I saw several in the Dallas/Fort Worth arcades back in the day. Bowling alley, the mall and even a movie theater had one.

Saw many Ninja Warriors and Darius's too. Guess it depended on your market.

I am the owner of the 1 dedicated cab listed on KLOV. It is a beast, but it does move around pretty easy since it is on wheels. Also, to fit it through a standard size door, you have to remove the second monitor and the control panel. This will allow you to push one corner through, turn it straight until you get the the other corner and turn it again. The manual has instructions on this. It is a fun party game when you have four people playing at one time.

They had one at Tilt arcade in Vallco Mall in Cupertino, California. They also had the Ninja Warriors big ass cabinet.

Still for sale, This machine is 100% working and the dedicated cabinet is in great shape.
I'll try and post pictures this weekend. It is hard to get at in my messy garage.

Forgot to mention, I'm open for trades also. I'm always looking for old pinball machines or jukeboxes.

Thanks for your time,
Bill
