For Sale: Amplifone High Voltage Bare PCBs for Atari XY Color Vectors

Troy just posted this on the interest thread, transferred to here to help him ship orders quickly

Ok, I jsut spent 3.5 hours, 2 rolls of tape and 2 bags of peanuts :) I've got everything seperated & boxed up for shipping. The following people did not buy parts from me and need to send me $6 for USPS shipping. If there is an error and you paid me for shipping or ordered parts, please correct me. Make sure your shipping address' are accurate.

I spent a couple hours this morning printing labels. I am shipping everyones stuff today with the exception of:

Oryk Zinyo
Perfidious
BlaineLocklair
Xsysceo

Those will ship as soon as I have shipping $ from them. I pm'd them and heard from a couple. I forgot to add my paypal addy ([email protected])

Improved diagram finished

Finally Q4, Q5 and the LED make sense.
Let me know what you think if you want

Also the earths (GND's) are linked to make for easier understanding of operation

Everyones stuff has shipped with the exception of:

No word from him at all.....

IMPORTANT Please read !!!!

I have worked all day to solve a problem related to the HV cutout, only if using the WG6100 Focus block using this MOD HERE

It's been reported to me the HV board does not cut out when performing the Test here

My board (With the 6100 Focus Blk) did the same

I won't list the 25 steps I took to solve this, I will simply tell you all the solution

If using a WG6100 Focus block, replace R19 with a 100K, 0.5W resistor

And I had to turn the LED around 180 degrees, Hmmm?? I just did it and it worked

Happy vectoring :)

Just to specify, I ordered a new batch of HV heatsinks, from an Aust supplier, so we can have spares.

I still have focus brackets, I already bought from Troy, in stock, no need to make more just yet.

I have had a few of the guys around KLOV and other forums have already ordered more sets of gear.

I still want to sell a few of these HV's completely assembled too.

Thought that last post was referring to the heatsink for the deflection boards, yes.

I do however still need the parts kit for HV when Troy gets them put together.

Is Troy doing that?

I will sell kits on my website one day, ready to assemble, but the freight may be about $40 to $60 alone to the US.

Some may consider that OK, IE reasonable, most not I think

We could always do another pre-paid pre-order and ship them via Troy or another member? If they are up to it of course...

Also if you eventually make some pre-assembled full chassis (chassi?) ready to go (or even pre-assembled HV/deflection boards separately) I'd probably buy one just to save myself the hassle. I've got more money to throw around than I do free time these days so it'd be worth it to me. :/

No idea what he's talking about. Im not selling any kits, just talking about helping make the heat sink for the deflection.

One of the guys who bought a HV board made a valid comment to me, and I will pass it on to every one

In regards to the neck board: The straight molex plug (12 Pin) has NO number system to it.

The numbers on the sticker is actually the CRT pin numbers. There is NO pin 1 on the neck board because pin 1 is the focus wire

Any questions please ask

Important message to buyers of this HV board - Please read!

Hi Guys.

A well known KLOVer and repairer has brought it to my attention that one of the diodes needs to be upgraded.

He directed me to this link
http://www.vectorlist.org/Vectorlist/2000/03/0102.html
Have a quick read

In the case of an Amplifone HV board, it's diode CR8 (An optional diode)

In the case of a PAT9000 board, it's diode CR48 (Also optional)

We were fitting a 1N4002 diode, as that was what was fitted on one of my HV boards many years ago.

However the WG6100 uses a 1KV diode in the same place. IE: D902

So if you are using a BU406 Transistor (As opposed to a BU406D) and are fitting this optional diode, use this diode externally to the BU406

http://www.newark.com/on-semiconductor/mur2100eg/fast-recovery-diode-2a-1kv-axial/dp/42K1616

The Part Number is MUR2100EG

If you only use BU406D transistors, ignore this post

Parts lists have been updated (Amp HV and PAT9000)
