So i get a free foodfight cabinet today, it included the cab stripped of parts, speaker, brackets, PCB, ARII, Light fixture, Grills, and the black white green wiring harness. What other atari game would have used the same harness? was it unique? I have a millipede here i planned on robbing the power brick from, and the monitor, anyone know if that will work?

pretty sure food fight wiring is unique as its a gcc game.

Unless your cab has nice art, or you have some parts to go with it, your looking at $600-$800+ in parts to get it going. I would pass and wait to find a complete one.

nah, won't cost that much.. i got people for that

if you say so. Good luck with the monitor glass and marquee. I think pcb can be had for $100-$150. But joystick will probably be $150-$200. add $200 for a nice/new monitor.. you might be able to use a dig dug or kangaroo control panel, but then you will have to find a repro overlay.

I have the ARII and PCB. Marquee pops up on ebay on occasion for 30 - 50, nice populated CP sold on here last week for 100.00 I'm not that far off. I have a real nice monitor and power brick here in a Millipede, i got another loose atari power brick out of something, control panel and wiring harness should be all i need to get it playing, and the rest to make it complete.

thats great you have some of the parts, but the hardest part to find will be the monitor glass...

The key question is what shape the cabinet art is in... If its no art, there is a $200-$350 expense your not going to get around. Plus just about all repro art = garbage..

Even by your best estimate, you $150 away. Thats not counting the monitor glass. Having a good monitor is great, but if you get one with FF, you can use it elsewhere.

I look at it this way, you could sell your pcb, sell your nice monitor and power brick and raise $300-$400 towards buying a nice one. Finding one for under $1k, should not be problem.

1. positively repro'ing the cabinet..
2. I am vectoring the art myself and having it solvent jet printed with UV stable ink, then having it laminated.. Cost should be very reasonable, and i'm having it done by one of our best on here.
3. Bezel, Marquee, and CPO are all available. you just gotta know where to look!

Before you go to all of that work on the sideart, you should contact Atari Scott. He has a ton of orginal Atari films. He may have the FF art and you can work something out.

i am supposed to get ahold of scott this week, i'll have to mention it to him :D

Yeah, you really need to run them by scott. if your going to do any type of atari reproductions, you might as well do them right. Its hard enough to get them right with the orignal films..

You also might want to check with Rich. He himself is restoring a Food Fight and I am pretty sure that he was planning making new sideart for it.....

if Rich is doing that, i would say he has scott's films for it already! thanks for the tip!

Hey Brett, I have a nice Food Fight front glass available. Hopefully we can work something out. I've never advertised it because I don't want to ship it. But somehow, it could be delivered to you.
